It's Duckworth who has some splainin to do. She trashed the President and by extension her fellow troops. Said we ought not be in this war, that the money should have been spent on health care and education.

Getting wounded does not give you dispensation from the FACTS.

Good afternoon.
"Getting wounded does not give you dispensation from the FACTS."

Service in the military in the past does not excuse choosing the wrong side today. It may even make it worse.

I'm sad for Duckworth's physical loss and for the emotional pain that is sure to come someday when she realizes she was used as a prop and pure political gain by the Democrats.

Except for Sestak, who CNO Mike Mullen relieved of command, none of the military vets the Dems are running have the credentials or experience to live up to the expectations of the voters that the Democrats have oversold.

I am NOT knocking those folks, I'm knocking the Democrat party. While they do have an appreciation for combat that others don't, they are NOT QUALFIED to lead this nation based on that experience.

Hackett and Murphy were both Majors and JAGs. The rest are Captains that I can recall. That's still field grade officers. Neither had command and if they did, not only was it tactical versus strategic, the level of INDEPENDENT operation at that pay grade was minimal. They're told what to do and monitored.

At those ranks, they haven't been to the big picture schools like Command and General Staff. Or a War College.

If Hackett and Murphy were to run for President, people would laugh. It's obvious neither one is up to the task. Yet Bush won two elections and those two clowns are going to tell Bush what to do as President when they have no clue how to get elected President?

I'll give Murphy credit for stepping out of a perfectly good airplane, for his service, but don't amp it up. You were an instructor at West Point, not a graduate. In the hate America left wing radical lore of Vietnam, the urban legend was that officers/lifers went to Vietnam to "get their ticket punched" for career enhancement purposes. If Murphy were a Republican it was the sixties and bashing troops was in vogue, VVAW rat bastards like Bill Perry (now his supporter) would be calling Murphy a "ticket puncher" based on his 3 month tour.
