Hi, I need some Freeper help for a discussion I'm in on my mothers board. I can't even begin explain how we've gotten from Plan B to paid maternity leave.
Okay, I must say there have been some interesting arguments and 1 study I am looking forward to reading and crituiqing on Infant mortality rate and paid maternity leave.
But in recent years I've read a couple of good articles about the drain on economies that large scale social services cause. I know one was specifically about national health systems and various countries around the world that are being crippled by it. I could have sworn it was the Economist, but I've been browsing it and can't find it.
Does anyone have some good resources for me?
It's a monstrously huge topic. The US might have the largest total of all such programs, and that without national health insurance.
Germany, France, UK, Canada, Netherlands just to name a few.
