LEESBURG, Va.
Republican Senator George Allen is accusing his Democratic opponent, Jim Webb, of provoking yesterday's videotaped confrontation between Allen supporters and a liberal blogger.
Men wearing blue Allen lapel stickers put University of Virginia law student Michael Stark in a chokehold and slammed him to the floor yesterday after an Allen rally in Charlottesville.
Allen was asked today if he regretted the conduct of his supporters. He put the blame on Webb, saying Stark's behavior was typical of the Webb campaign.
Webb says he does not know Stark. But he says he regrets ... quote ... "the conduct of certain people there yesterday."
Allen had just finished a rally with Senator Elizabeth Dole before the incident took place.
Dole issued a statement demanding an apology from Webb.
Webb campaign consultant Steve Jarding dismissed Dole's demand as "offensive."
The AllenHq blog has a "gif" video showing Stark slamming an Allen supporter into a door and pushing him out of the way, BEFORE the part of the altercation that was filmed.
He wasn't slammed. I can slam, trust me this wasn't a slam.
Haven't seen that yet... but from the clips I've seen, something just looked not right or incomplete. It seemed like the "heckler" had done something much more than question a spitting incident to merit his forceful ejection.

You can see that Stark has one hand on the guys arm, pushing it back, while his left hand is on the guy's chest, pushing him into and then back through the door frame.\
He ends up with what looks like an elbow to the guy's chest, and then looks back as he comes through to see the results of his actions.
So for him to claim (as he has) that he doesn't remember touching anybody seems a bit of a "lie".
Wow. The Allen camp really needs to get that out there, and fast. They were right in the video -- he's a punk.
Webb is a Kos contributor, but this one is all on Stark.

THere was never a choke hold. There is a video showing a little later in the incident, where Stark tries to push past two other supporters while wearing a bag. One of those supporters grabbed him first around the head but that slipped off and ended up around his body.
It was never a choke hold. Then as they were moving Stark away, he tried to duck around the guy, and fell over with the guy falling on top of him.
He was never hit, and was not hurt.

Let's mention this again. Zuniga...who is DailyKos...has been on contract with Howard Dean and the DNC through his consulting group!
That money to help the blogger was likely given by the DNC ...funneled through DailyKos. Meaning...DailyKos should be in trouble with the FEC and the IRS for incorrectly listing funds.
