All,
I personally salute all members of the armed forces, all civilian contractors (I personally know 4 men there in civilian support roles for the military), and everyone else supporting our efforts in the War On Terror regardless of where they may be stationed. There are military and civilian personnel in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere that are members of Free Republic who do monitor this website. I'd like them to see how much we support them with a thread DEDICATED to them.
The purpose of this thread is for FReepers to simply "sign" it with words of support OR simply a period or something so their name appears on it.
God has blessed this country with the finest, smartest and most dedicated military men and women the world has ever seen. They voluntarily enlist and go to fight for the freedoms that we enjoy, to protect us from further attack and to ensure that our children live in a future world of peace. Sadly, many don't come home but an organization I belong to does everything they can, on a family by family basis, to show their love and support for those that don't make it back.
They need to know that we love them, God loves them and outside of a limited number of America haters, we, as a country, overwhelmingly support them.
Please ping this far and wide..I don't have a number of how many should "sign" it to show support (please sign only once), but the more we can get, the better it will be..
My personal note to those fighting men and women worldwide who are reading this..I salute you and may God bring you home safely..

My life has been blessed because of their sacrifice!
As one who formerly wore the Army uniform, as did my husband for fourteen years and now, my son is in the Air Force, I'm glad to say that I support all those in the Armed Forces, be it Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine, Coast Guard, Reservist, National Guard and those in the civilian section who support the Armed Services.
I support our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and wherever they are in the world!
I support our President for taking it to the terrorists so we don't have to fight them here.
And I support the War of Terrorism.
Kerry's comment might have worked if it came from someone with combat experience.

Thank you to my sister, Capt. Kramer, 399th Combat Support Hospital, two advanced degrees and the smartest woman that I've ever known, just left a couple of weeks ago for 18 months.
God bless all our troops, reserves and actives and those in training and those waiting to turn 18 so they can go too.
To paraphrase an old poem (Iwo Jima???)for our "tomorrows," they are giving their "todays."
Count me in... Words cannot express my gratitude to the men and women of our armed forces. I most sincerely thank you for your sacrifice for me and mine.
Kudoes to all of you! May you all return home safely and victoriously when your job is finally done.

I have the honor of working with Master Gunnery Sergeant John Ubaldi who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
Unlike some in the anti-war community here in the U.S. he does not hate his nation. He does not think we stand for evil. He does not think we are the bastion for torture, conquest and domination.
He, along with all those who are serving our nation in the United States Military deserve our utmost support!
