Here is the initial story reported on KFI in Los Angeles at 11:00 AM --- CLICK.
KFI in Los Angeles called Kerry's remarks on Imus this morning an apology when he said that he meant no offense to the troops. Someone at Reuters is trying to let Kerry off the hook.
The American Legion, however, is steaming mad.
A source at American Legion headquarters told me that the comments on Imus are not acceptable. He needed to make an apology to the troops that was unequivocal. Unfortunately, he has apparently missed the opportunity. Even if Kerry would actually try to make a real apology now, they would consider it disingenuous.
My source pointed out that the President has an advanced business degree and was allowed to be a military pilot in an F-102. "You don't put those things in the hands of dumb *sses," she said.
Unnamed source pointed out that this is not a joking matter. WE ARE AT WAR! Kerry shouldn't be joking about this stuff. Kerry is doing damage to his country just as he did in Vietnam times. He seems to do it at every opportunity to try to advance himself.
She was really proud of how the troops reacted with the banner seen on Drudge with misspellings to mock Kerry. "They are smart enough and know how to get a joke and create a joke."
Regarding Chris Matthews, the American Legion is firing off a memo to him for calling the reaction from the American Legion a Bush "dog and pony show." No, their reaction was their reaction. They don't get marching orders from the White House.
God bless those risking their lives to protect our country, and God bless those in the American Legion who are standing up tall on this issue.
Lets start at the lowest threshold - Kerry's comments on Imus aren't even an apology, let alone 'acceptable!' ;-)
"She was really proud of how the troops reacted with the banner seen on Drudge with misspellings to mock Kerry."
And mock him we shall continue to do!
Kerry doesn't understand the value of service because the only thing he has ever valued is himself.
How about the same way General Patton was required to apologize, by unit, in person, on location, repeated for each unit.
That should keep him busy. We can start right after the election.
I'm genuinely glad the American Legion gave Chrissy their back hand. He deserved it.
It's so much fun, and he makes it so easy.
"My source pointed out that the President has an advanced business degree and was allowed to be a military pilot in an F-102. "You don't put those things in the hands of dumb *sses," she said."
Or the hands of Jon F'n Carry either.
But.. I repeat myself.
Here is a better story. The Imus comments are just not acceptable.
We would all do well to remember that.
Thank you. NO APOLOGY HERE! It is an apology the newsmedia has manufactured. For goodness sakes
They need to come out at least with a press release on their website.
Good Lord, Chrissy Matthews has sunk to attacking the American Legion. Yet another one in the multitude of reasons why I will never watch his show.
may as well pile on more copies, this is going to swallow a lot of bandwidth:

This hasnt been jammed deep enough up into his intestinal tract. Keep shoving.
This episode reminded everyone that Kerry earned four D's in his first year at Yale, lower grades than Bush. I don't remember Kerry earning an advanced degree. Bush did.
Anyone want to bet that tomorrowa headlines read:
Kerry Apologizes.
On page three it will talk about how courageous he is for coming forward and offering his sincerest apologies.
In the next sentence he will bash Bush.
"I am sorry that those idiot military troops were offended by my intelectual humor. It was apparently too complicated for them to understand that I was actually making fun of George Bush."
-John F. Kerry
