White House Insists Kerry Apologize
The Associated Press ^ | Nov 1, 2006 | JENNIFER LOVEN

WASHINGTON - The White House pressed Sen. John Kerry Wednesday to apologize for a comment Republicans say was disrespectful of U.S. fighting forces in Iraq, saying he "put gasoline on the fire" of an already sizzling midterm election campaign.

"Sen. Kerry may have botched the line, but what he said was insulting to the troops, and what he ought to say is, 'Look, I botched the line, but I'm sorry for giving offense,' " press secretary Tony Snow said on CBS's "The Early Show."

Hey, let's cut Kerry some slack. Let us presume he DID 'botch' the joke and omit some very pertinent words.

HOWEVER, that brings up another issue - why? I say it was a Freudian Slip. Ergo he said what he really feels about our military -- They're a bunch of slack jawed, inbred, ijit 'peasents', and totally beneath him.

Let's see:

Kerry says U.S. troops terrorize Iraqi women and children, and are uneducated...

The Swimmer says Americans ran the Abu Ghraib prison just like Saddam--merely a "change of management" he said...

Dick Turban, senior senator from Illinois, went to the floor of the Senate and compared American soldiers to managers of Soviet gulags, Nazis, and Pol Pot's torturers.

Oh yeah, the Democrats really support the troops. NOT.

Jennifer Loven is a DNC hack, btw.

Jennifer Loven's husband was an adviser to the John Kerry campaign!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Associated Press tries to hide their reporter's ties to the liberals but this fact got out. I wonder how many more of the Associated Press's "objective" "journalists" have ties to the Democrat party.

Tony Snow's handling of this and other controversies has been outstanding (most recently today on CNBC). He knows how to make a persuasive argument and how to joust with a contentious White House press corps. Snow has potential some day in the future to be presidential material."

I Agree!! Just heard that Tony will be giving a press conference at noon today! Spread the word! :)

kerry is a traitor, and a traitor should not be a US Senator.

Look, if being a traitor was a requirement for resignation, then Ted Kennedy ought to resign, too...and Dick Durbin and Patty Murray....

Everyone knows what Kerry meant

http://blogs.baltimoresun.com/news_local_rodricks/2006/11/everyone_knows_.html

(snip)

This is classic Swift Boat politics -- the effort to turn a strength (Kerry's military veteran credentials) into a negative.

More from today's media coverage:

The Washington Post had the story... buried on page A8. The New York Times buried the front page lede under an innocuous headline: "As Vote Nears, Stances on War Set Off Sparks". The Boston Globe amazingly, and to its credit carried the story on page A1 under the headline: "Kerry's 'stuck in Iraq' remark ignites firefight with Bush".

Edwards Calls Kerry’s Comments “Deeply Offensive”
Kerry Offers No Apologies for Iraq Comment

(November 1, 2006)—Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, says Sen. John Kerry’s remark that those who don’t do well in school will “get stuck in Iraq” was “at worst deeply offensive…. or at the very least, a tasteless and inappropriate criticism of the president.”

I forgot one:

Patty Murray, 'rat Senator from Washington, talks about the work of OSAMA BIN LADEN and how the TERRORIST has made the lives of the Arabs BETTER:
"He’s been out in these countries for decades, building schools, building roads, building infrastructure, building day care facilities, building health care facilities, and the people are extremely grateful. He’s made their lives better."

YES, THIS WAS POST 9/11...SAID BY A DEMOCRAT SENATOR...TRAITOROUS IN THE EXTREME.

We are a military family, I wish that the White House would stop asking J. Kerry to say that he is sorry for the stupid remarks that he made in Pasadena.

Unless an apology is from the heart it is now an apology!!!!!
