Umm, written when? Last night? :-)
Kerry's joke was aimed at all of the people in the military...not just at Bush.
We all have heard insulting comments from liberals like jfk's "joke."
These liberals sit in a room repeating this stuff to each other.
Remember Elinore Clift (sp?) who said after Reagan won : I do not know how he won...nobody I know voted for Reagan !
Maybe the only Democrat glad about this story is Webb in Virginia. It pushed the stories of Webb's child porn writings and marriage rumors out of the news.
Senator Purple Heart to his shrink:
"I just feel like everybody hates me."
Shrink:
"Now, now, everybody does not hate you. Everybody hasn't met you yet!"

One small sentence that speaks volumes when you really read it.
The shrink may be wrong after Kerry's self inflicted implosion yesterday.
He will not be invited to many rat cocktail parties and dinners after yesterday.
Let's hope Bobby gets covered by Kerry's shadow and we have 6 more years of Santorum.
Not only is Kerry cutting appearances...other dems are canceling him.
There was a post about a Iowa dem running for a tight congressional seat who just cancelled jfk after the "joke." The rally was to be in the next few days.
I do not have the link in front of me, but it could be found.
" Where's Dirty Harry Reid and Pelosi been lately???"
Hiding.
We should be calling Kerry's office and demanding he resign.
Call toll free and ask for Kerry's office:

He might have saved himself had he just apologized to Americans in military service, and *then* made his (weak, weak) claim that it was a joke gone horribly wrong. At that point he could have then gone on his rampage about the administration. Instead, all he has done is remind everyone that he's a child of privilege, an elitist who won't apologize to anyone, and would be just that kind of President that he claims he's opposed to -- one who won't admit a mistake.
It's too bad, because I was looking forward to his nomination for the 2008 run, just to watch him drag his party even forther into the abyss. :')
I agree. Many times we have heard the Democrats explain that our men and women serving in uniform had nowhere else to turn. You can go to any liberal blog or forum and they are saying it now. In their opinion, the only reason people would join the military is because they can't find a job locally, can't afford college/trade school or they are a bunch of hicks that like to blow stuff up and shoot guns.
When they are called on it, they deny it and fake outrage.
' Thirty five years ago John Kerry slandered an entire generation of men who fought in Vietnam branding them as a "war criminals."
Today, much of the same thing is being said about our young men and women in Iraq. '

(Was I unkind?)
No!!! You said alot but not nearly enough to describe the scumbag!!! There isn't enough time in the day (or night) nor are there enough words in the English language to vilify Kerry!!!
After slip-up on US Iraq troops, Kerry retreats from campaign trail
Notice that the French can manage to get it right that Kerry's "apology" on Imus was nothing of the sort, but the AP is reporting the "botched joke" spin as an apology in this story: Kerry apologizes for "botched" Iraq joke.
The problem? Not only is it not an apology, but take a look at what his staff claims the joke was supposed to be:
Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq. Just ask President Bush.
Are we really supposed to believe that a Harvard MBA is not smart, doesn't study and is intellectually lazy? Are we supposed to believe Kerry thought he could make that charge stick? More bovine effluents from the Magic Hat Man.
Here's another thing Kerry told Imus, which the AFP reported and the AP didn't:
If anyone thinks that a veteran, someone like me, who's been fighting my entire career to provide for veterans, to fight for their benefits, to help honor what their service is ... would somehow criticize more than 140,000 troops serving in Iraq and not the president and his people who put them there, they're crazy.
So, we're supposed to believe that a guy who...
...falsely accused his comrades of daily, systematic atrocities
...secretly met with the enemy while in uniform
...sent the troops into Iraq and then tried to deny them funding
...accused them of terrorizing the population
...couldn't possibly say something bad about them. Yeah, right. Go back to your hole, traitor.
It was not a gaffe.
Effin' obviously spoke from the heart.
