Kerry defends Democrats' wartime service
Boston Glob ^ | October 30, 2006 | Rick Klein, Globe Staff

NEWTOWN, Pa. -- The military record of a Democratic House candidate was under attack. So, Senator John F. Kerry ventured to the Philadelphia suburbs last week to defend Patrick Murphy -- and deliver the kind of speech the senator never quite gave when his own wartime service was called into question in 2004.

"Attacking Patrick Murphy for his service is a little bit like Jessica Simpson attacking Albert Einstein's IQ," the Massachusetts Democrat proclaimed Thursday at a chilly outdoor rally at Bucks County Community College.

"A lot of these people in the GOP, the Republican Party -- they think somehow that they served because they played with GI dolls when they were little," Kerry said. "The guys who really served understand what it means, and we've had enough of these lies."

Many Democrats remain angry with Kerry over his failure to more aggressively combat Republican smears in 2004. Efforts to tar Kerry generated a new term for political hatchet-jobs -- "swift-boating" -- and Kerry's slow response to the attacks ranks alongside his muddled position on the war in Iraq on Democrats' list of complaints about the campaign.

Now, Kerry is making it a personal mission to defend veterans running as Democrats in this year's congressional elections from Republican attacks. Should he run for president again in 2008, his efforts on behalf of veterans could leave him with a corps of fiercely loyal supporters in Congress, and could help erase memories of the "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth" attacks that he acknowledges he let stand for too long.

Patrick Murphy is a neophyte moron who is losing this race. Go here and see what kind of fool John Kerry is campaigning for and what a great Congressman he is campaigning against. Mike Fitzpatrick isn't smearing Murphy, he is telling the truth that the kid doesn't live in the district, spent most of his time in Iraq as a JAG lawyer, is lying about his record as a prosecutor, and doesn't know squat about Bucks County. Even the liberal Philadelphia Inquirer has endorsed Fitzpatrick.

I woud love to see more stupid Democrats waste their time and money here on Pat Murphy.

While I am no Jessica Simpson fan, at least her "dumbness" is an act. She also made her own fortune and didn't have to marry it.

It has been reported that Jessica Simpson has an IQ in the 160 range. I can find this fact in a number of biographies on her. No word on Snopes on the matter.

At any rate, a gigolo politician like Kerry making fun of any public figure really puts his true character on display.

I still have absolutely no idea why any veteran would run as a Democrat.

Immunity.

The remains of a 10,000 year old democrat have been found.  As you can see, they looked the same back then as they do today.

Well since his opponent did question Murphy's survice then I suppose it's a legitimate question. What has Fitzgerald done to defend his country?

Hold on there. Fitzpatrick never served, but if Murphy is lying then it's a legitimate attack. As a veteran I am far more offended by fake war hero crap than I am by people who have not served expecting to hold positions in a civilian government. Offering your blood to this nation should be enough, and is enough, for most vets to be proud of. Embellishment ususally points to a serious character problem.

Is there some reason a civilian is not allowed to discuss evidence of lying by a veteran of the armed forces?

Go to Howie Carr's website, great pictures of J Forbes' SUV illegally parked.

"A lot of these people in the GOP, the Republican Party -- they think somehow that they served because they played with GI dolls when they were little,"

Like certain Democrats who think they served in Cambodia? And was sent there by Nixon? In Christmas of 1968?

And how about this?

FREEPER EXPOSES FRAUD DEM IN MASS::Delahunt's status as veteran on ballot is questioned

Delahunt's Veteran Status Questioned

Claim of Veteran status on ballot is fraudulent says state official

South Shore radio station WATD (95.9 on the dial) has apparently nailed our incumbent US Congressman William Delahunt in a fraudulent claim as a veteran.

This is important because in Massachusetts the election laws allow the designation as "veteran" to appear after a name on the ballot.

Delahunt's apparent fraudulent claim has already been used in the primary elections and the November 7th ballots are already printed

Yeah, so he used a publicity stunt with a paraplegic.

Gee. That would mean the Jessica Simpson and George Bush both have higher IQ
