While agreeing in principle to your statement let me remind you that had it not been for Mary Jos death, Mr. Kennedy most probably would have become president of the U.S.
If you think Bill Clinton was a bad president and a predatory pervert, can you imagine what a Ted Kennedy presidency would have been like?
And yet her death was and continues to be unimportant when folks go to vote for Senator.
What mattered in the Democratic primary would never have mattered in the general election.
