A Shocking Story of Gun Confiscation In America (New Orleans)
NRAILA ^ | unknown | Wayne Lapierre

Posted on 10/28/2006 8:23:30 PM PDT by epow

This site gives gun owners a stark and brutal reminder of why we must defend our firearm freedoms with passion and vigilance in Congress, in state legislatures, in the courts... AND ON ELECTION DAY.

This site makes it clear why gun owners can never, ever sit on the sidelines during an election. This site is a slap-in-the-face wake up call for every gun owner who thinks anti-gun politicians don't have the nerve or the will to confiscate our guns.

And why they must be defeated before they ever get their hands on power.

Take a long hard look at the section titled "Brutally Disarmed" on www.givethemback.com. You'll see unbelievable violence caught by Fox News when police entered the residence of sixty-year old, Patricia Konie, and demanded that she evacuate her home.

You'll see them body-slam this tiny woman into a wall-sending dishes flying-then confiscate her firearm and drag her from her home.

You never saw this footage and you never will see it on ABC, NBC or CBS. You never will see the photos or read about these crimes in The New York Times, The Washington Post or any of the major dailies.

The anti-gun media doesn't want you to see it because it will prove that everything they've been saying about how politicians and bureaucrats can be trusted to protect your Second Amendment rights IS A LIE.

Once there, the page will open with Lapierre telling about the gun confiscations in NO. Click on the tabs at the left sidebar to see and hear the victims describe how they were mistreated and their were guns stolen by the NO authorities without any court approved authority to do so.

Are you a gun owner who is thinking about sitting out this election because you're disappointed and angry with the Republicans representing you in Congress or the Senate? Please don't, that's exactly what gun grabbing would-be tryants such as Schumer and Feinstein want you to do. If they ever get their way the Katrina gun confiscation outrage in N.O. will be re-enacted nationwide.

I know many of you are like me, very disappointed and angry about the way the illegal immigration issue is being handled, or more accurately NOT handled, by Bush and Congress. But that isn't justification for allowing a radical Democratic majority to take control of Congress and block confirmation of another originalist Supreme Court nominee who is likely to be appointed in the next two years.

At the very least, a large number of lower federal court judges will be nominated in the next two years, and if the radical Democrats hold the Senate majority every pro-2nd amendment originalist nominee will be dead on arrival at the Senate Judiciary committee.

It is a real problem with people that seek power over others, the first thing they want to do is to render those, they wish to subjugate, totally powerless and defenseless.

Evidently, the democrat party leadership has decided to render the people defenseless, so the party leadership can inflict their version of socialism.

It has happened in the past (in this country). The Ku Klux Klan set about to pass 'Jim Crow' against the ownership of firearms by African Americans. The motivation does appear to be, the KKK wanted to be sure the Blacks were defenseless, when the KKK came to burn them out.

I still see some groups advocating disarming this or that minority group. Again, judging from their rhetoric, the motivation is to render the minority group defenseless.

The effect of not voting is exactly the same as voting for the candidate who wins. You get the government you vote for. If anyone can vote, but who doesn't, IMO, they give up their right to complain.

I haven't seen or heard any NRA sponsored political advocacy ads on electronic or print media this time, but that may be due to the McCain-Feingold CFR law. I'm not clear on how that law applies to an org like NRA, but I think it may put the kaibosh on sponsoring political ads by non-profit orgs.

As a NRA member I'm receiving quite a bit of email from NRA regarding the election, including voting guides which give the NRA ratings for all state and federal candidates in my state. Of course almost every communication from NRA whether paper or electronic includes an appeal for a donation, but I am tapped out this time around due to major medical expenses in my family and my yearly membership dues will have to suffice.

I totally agree. Billions of government-oppressed people in this world would crawl through a minefield to vote in a free and truly meaningful election if given the chance. Yet there are many more free Americans of voting age who don't vote than do.

I think I understand the other side on this one, they read the constitution this way:

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state some kind of historical curiosity, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

But you would think they need to go through some sort of legal process to do this editing, right? Like, say, a constitutional amendment? If judges can just interpret this thing into nonexistence, then we don't really have a constitution, we just have a status quo opinion. This is the biggest reason, I think, why we need to keep the Senate.

Exactly. Which is what the liberals want, a vague, imprecise, generic constitution that can be broadly interpreted to mean whatever a liberal judiciary thinks it should mean. Such a constitution wouldn't be worth the parchment it's written on, and it certainly isn't what the authors created.

There exists a free and fair election in the US? Where?

Hey, we let dead Democrats and illegal aliens vote, some of them more than once. What could be fairer than that?

Not enough of us are activists. We have to work. The Progressive Democrats have taken control of Congress. This is a crisis. See who Nancy Pelosi is at sadbastards.wordpress.com.

She is an elitist socialist, with the complete backing of the liberal mainstream media.

I agree Mick. Anyone who doesn't think we're now facing a crisis with Pelosi and her cohorts controlling Congress next year just doesn't realize what kind of people we're dealing with. They don't just want control, they want revenge.
