Give us your money or else. That's the threat from MoveOn.org, the ultra-liberal political blog, to U.S. Rep. Marty Meehan.
For a week now, MoveOn.org's political extortionists have mounted an Internet campaign against Meehan because he refuses to accede to their wishes. They want Meehan to open his $4.9 million campaign war chest to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which is trying to win back the House from Republicans.
Meehan has resisted, and rightly so.
But what began as playful politics has escalated into a nasty MoveOn.org shakedown.

We have already established that, if not actually a racist and anti-Semitic hate organization, MoveOn.org knowingly and willfully welcomed racist, anti-Semitic, and anti-Catholic hate speech at its Action Forum while posting a bulletin that cites anti-Semitic sources (http://moveonpleasemoveon.blogspot.com/). Now, like Frankenstein's monster, MoveOn.org seems to be turning against its creators as well.
In retrospect, MoveOn.org may be the greatest gift to the Republican Party since Michael Dukakis.

Marty will probably end up with a Secretariat or Mr.ED head in his bead.
Meehan wants to hold his money for a Senate Run in case President Kerry retires.

I thought MoveOn had "Bought and Paid For" the Democratic Party???
What happened? Have the Democrats woken up to the damage they've done?

There is a point in the Great Circle of Politics where the far left merges with the far right. MoveOn.org thugs look more and more like Nazi street hoodlums.

Nazis were the left. National Socialist Party

You know, if History did docudramas about current politics then the folks responsible for CFR and the golf turds floating in its muck might come off as if they'd made Plan 9 instead.
It's sad to say it, but what Rob Zombie was to directing many of our elected officials aren't even that to foresight and wisdom.

The Nazis were not conservatives by any rational definition of the term. They were in competition with the Communists for totalitarian control of Europe. Mussolini was a Communist Party member before he split off and became a Fascist.
Since the Nazis were competing with the Communists for the minds of the oppressed and discontented masses throughout Europe, they naturally identified themselves as the opposite of Communists. But they were still National Socialists, totalitarians, and central planners just like the Communists, with the same dream of controlling history.
It's only the continuing blindness of leftist intellectuals and historians that identifies Nazis with American conservatives--or even with a moderate Republican like George Bush. (Bush is moderate in the rational meaning of the word, not moderate in the leftist RINO distortion of the word.)
Dictatorial control from the top characterizes both the "left" and the "right." And both claim to be working for the good of the people, while their real intention is to hold all power in their own hands.
I have had a lot of experience with leftists in academia, and they are all little totalitarians or pocket Hitlers in their behavior.

Exactly!
People often fail to realize that we Americans define "conservative" and "liberal" inaccurately.
In the broader scope of things, the Founding Fathers (like all Englishmen resisting the continental-ization of their liberties and laws) were true liberals (ultra-liberals actually) out of step with centuries of political developments that eventually erupted in the French Terrors and the rise of fascist, socialist and communist socioeconomic systems (the chief "sin" of the fascist is to presume that the State needs partnersbig businessto achieve its goals).
Those we now call "American liberals" are, at best, radicals and the ideological descendants of those radical Republicans who imposed continental ideas about governance and laws on this nation despite the fact that these are contrary to the very purpose of our founding (radicals and progressives make lots of hay about "taxation without representation"even as they bleed usbut you'll scarcely hear a peep about those portions of the DoI or Constitution that reflect on English Common Laws and the explicit desire/assumption that these would be the kind of laws we should/would have).

I think Mahhhty is looking at Kerry's seat. I've always said ,and I could be wrong ,that if old, fat Ted drops dead his wife, Vicky, will take on his seat.
