While visiting Iraq on assignment, KOA Denver reporter Steffan Tubbs was touched by the children forced to survive in such harsh conditions. After talking to several soldiers, he learned that soccer balls are "like gold" in Iraq and the soldiers asked Steffan to send over as many soccer balls as possible when he returned home. Along with the help of his college friend Trevor Slavick, "Little Feet, Big Goals" was started.

One thing I forgot to mention is that "Little Feet, Big Goals" is working with the national sporting goods store, 'The Sports Authority', to get soccer balls shipped right from the manufacturer directly to troops who are serving in Iraq.
Teach them American Football and Baseball and they may become a free nation.
This is wonderful.
Also great is: http://www.operationiraqichildren.org/
of which actor Gary Sinise (CSI: NY) is involved.
Where's the rest of Hollywood? . . .
Yeah, I've heard of Gary Sinese's program as well. Anything to promote good will the next generation of Iraq is a positive and worthwhile endeavour.
