I don't want THC users living next door to me or my kids. Or anywhere in my neighborhood.
So, if deluded legalizers cannot find a way to banish these dangerous fools to some cave, then maintain its status of illegality nation wide.
LOL - I've done all of the above. ;-)
That's not the issue at all. The issue is nobody wants to pay good money for a hooker that is stoned......I kid, I kid. Don't ban me.
In all seriousness the last time this came up the pro-dopers were dealt a blow right before the election. A journalist from the Las Vegas newspaper got killed by a driver who was stoned out of his gourd.
The same argument was made a couple years ago about the marriage protection act that was placed on the ballot. Nevada is the easiest state to get married, the easiest to get a divorce, legal gambling in every public venue outside schools, churches, and public libraries, legalized brothels; and now they want to protect marriage. Pretty good argument, but it still passed.
This is me, not posting on this thread, because I'm so tired of hearing all the pro and con arguments for and against legalizing pot. In fact, I'm actually not even here, and you're not even reading this.
I havent touched the stuff since 1977. I think it is stupid. I also think it should be legal.
That is, in a free country it should be legal.
Soros and company have spent a hundred million easy trying to figure out how to get the entire nation to legally approve dope smoking in all fifty states since there is no way in hell that Congress or any other elected official who wants a future in politics is going to support potheads. So they came upon the initiative process and started with the 'medical marijuana' cannard. In each state where they managed to trick voters into biting off that one, they then started on the 'one ounce' and 'regulation and tax' angle - as if the taxpayers are so desparate for more taxes that they would sell children or televise executions if it would create more tax revenue - to advance the ultimate goal which is an Amsterdam-style drug haven throughout America.
These dopers would argue that THC makes you smarter if they thought it would get the Teachers Union onboard.
Every strike against the failed war on some drugs is a step in the right direction.
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." -Manuel II Paleologus
The initiatives are consistent with the spread of all manner of vice and crime i.e. perversion, adultery, perjury, greed, the giving and acceptance of bribes, treason, sedition etc. etc. No suprise if they pass.
No longer does one who enjoys the sin of "gambling" have to board a jet & fly to sin city, not when a little piece of sin city's in their own back yard.
Decriminalization -- I sincerely believe -- will be Nevada's only chance to continue attracting the hordes seeking to do all the things they cannot do anywhere else.
...time'll tell.
The Puritans, as best I can tell, were users of wine, beer and distilled spirits. Wish folks could stop knocking those Puritans with a zillion petty slanders that are all absent of any real history.
Both were losers...
