Muslims For A Safe America conducted a survey at the Islamic Society of North America’s 43rd Annual Convention in Chicago from September 1, 2006 to September 4, 2006.
307 Muslims who are American citizens participated in the survey at the Muslims For A Safe America booth at ISNA.
The purpose of the survey was to better understand the views of American Muslims on issues relating to Islam, Muslims, and American national security. It is important to let Muslims articulate their varied opinions on these issues in order to encourage dialogue within the Muslim community and with the rest of American society.
However, this was NOT a scientific survey, because ISNA Convention attendees who visited the Muslims For A Safe America booth are not necessarily representative of the American Muslim community as a whole.

These survey results are based on 307 responses from American Muslims (Muslims who are U.S. citizens) who visited the booth of Muslims for A Safe America during 2006 ISNA Annual Convention.

"Survey of American Muslims?" There is no such thing as an American Muslim. There are Muslims living in America and there are Americans who are Muslims. But there are no American Muslims.

Why? The struggle you're having is between logic and conscience. Logic tells you that it's right to hate people who are trying to kill you. Conscience tells you that you should give people the benefit of the doubt. But the benefit of the doubt will get you killed.
I have to think that some of them are worth saving, otherwise the sacrifice that has been made by so many means nothing.
But I tell you what, a biiiig part of me would just carpet bomb the entire middle east, and call it good. People talk about "good" muslims, and "moderate" muslims, but all I have ever seen from any of them are different degrees of animosity on their part toward all things not muslim.
THAT is the winning answer!
"Moderate" means a muslim who hates just a little bit less than the one next to him.
Most muslims won't go out and chop yer head off, but they sure won't get too upset about it if someone else does.
In other words... these American muzzies are by and large dims!!!
