- MEMRI.org reported that the President of the Islamic Republic Ahmadinejad said "I have a connection with God."
UNSC to present Iran sanctions draft next week.
- FOX News reported that France's U.N. Ambassador Jean-Marc de La Sabliere said Tuesday he hopes to circulate a draft U.N. resolution that is expected to call for sanctions on Iran for refusing to suspend uranium enrichment and return to negotiations on its nuclear program.
- BBC News reported that diplomats at the UN are working on a resolution proposing sanctions against Iran for its refusal to halt controversial nuclear activities. They aim to introduce the draft resolution to the UN Security Council next week.
Iran warns sanctions will wreck any possibility for compromise.
- Fox News reported that Iran warned on Wednesday that a likely U.N. Security Council resolution for imposing sanctions against Tehran would wreck any possibility for a compromise to resolve the standoff over the country's nuclear program.
Germany: Iran and Korea the greatest threats to world peace.
- Reuters reported that German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said that the nuclear programs of Iran and North Korea pose the two greatest threats to world peace and could spark a nuclear arms race among their neighbors.
Iran sends Human Rights abuser to UN Human Rights meeting.
- Voice of America reported that the Iranian government sent interior minister Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi as its representative to a meeting on Human Rights in Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Pour-Mohammadi is notorious for his role in the Iranian clerical regime's abuse of human rights.
Iranian sleeper cells confirmed in Kuwait.
- Middle East Newsline reported that Kuwaiti officials said Iranian agents have established sleeper cells within Kuwait's huge Shi'ite community.

- The Guardian reported that Iran's Islamic government has opened a new front in its drive to stifle domestic political dissent and combat the influence of western culture - by banning high-speed internet links.
