I'm sure there will be protesters in an around the forum where she'll be speaking. And I'm sure that most people there will be going to hear her speak her mind, whether they agree with her or not.

I'm not sure I'll be attending, but if I do, I hope to engage some of the professsors and students there, asking them to point out where she's wrong on anything she says.

Nary a cry was raised when MY student fees brought that creep Howard Zinn to USF.

There is an additional issue here, however, that goes beyond the conservative/liberal “divide.” Ann Coulter, in many of her speeches (I’m being diplomatic here), engages in hate speech.

Ahhh...the resort to "hate" speech. The sign of a weak and corrupt mind. The other two comments were reasonable. Ya don't wanna hear the message...don't go.

But this "hate" speech canard is a pathetically transparent attempt to force everybody not to hear what this pinhead can't refute.

I enjoy when I can to take on these laughably handicapped debaters in a one on one discussion. Typically, they sit in shock, as they try to deal with truth delivered right in their faces, with no recourse to bailouts like...."You can't say that..that's HATE speech!!"

That's after you have to shout them down, of course. Never let the constraints of decency constrain you, when dealing with pigs that flout the rules of debate.

I wish our Republican "leaders" could figure that out. Might even earn them some respect, from their "best buddy" Rat colleages who disrespect them....because they can walk all over them.

Where on campus? Do you need a student ID to get in, or is it open to the public?

Multiple viewpoints in a dialogue between liberals...

I just love the twit that accuses Ann of engaging in "hate speech" w/o defining what that is or their right to state it as a fact.

I guess free speach is only for liberals. Darn, I thought I was living in the USA. N. Korea has the some rules.

God Bless Ann Coulter, and her conservative view points. This USF alumni finds good reason not to support this very liberal institute that defended a convicted terrorist...shame on you USF..they're requests for donations end up in the circular file...

I challenge you to sit in a room with me with three randomly chosen speeches by Ann and another three from Michael Moore, Barbra Streisand or Al Sharpton, and tell me with a straight face which are worse, both in substance and in humor content.
The "progressive" mind is so irrational...

Many of the statements she makes are actually illegal in certain locales due to their overly inflammatory nature.
I agree, but not in any free countries of the world.
The ones that come to mind are Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Venezuela; bastions of freedom and freedom of expression, all.

I actually enjoy dialogue between multiple viewpoints, and support many of the people that have been brought to campus, even ones I heartily disagree with.
Of course, anyone can say anything, but repeating the DNC and muslim mantra is not a sign of intellectual horsepower.
Tell us about a few conservative speakers with whom you disagree, but about whom you have no "hate speech" criticisms.

I DO have a problem, however, with my student fees being spent on hate speech without my input on where those fees might better be spent (or my taxes, for that matter).
Oh puh-leeze! My taxes, 80% of them, are spent on the idle, the lazy, the uninformed, the delusional, the dishonest, the parasites. Want to compare taxes paid versus "government-provided" return? Do you pay income taxes at all?

Dialogue is a wonderful thing, but I sincerely doubt we will be seeing any tonight.
If that be true, it will be the result of the so-called "open-minded" audience, whose attendance is solely for the purpose of disruption, and to ensure that no dialog is possible.

Have a nice day.

College towns in America are overrun with young libs. Yes, even in Red States.

There's a really easy solution to Ann's problem with these punks:

They're like fungal vampires, they hate exposure. If the good guys took these to her speeches, they'd chill.
Knowing that their free speech attacks will be put up on youtube.com for all to see...

They charge us with hate speech the same way they say we have homophobia. Even if it is true, why should it matter. We have much fear at what damage they could do to this country and we have much hatred at the damage they have already done.

Today is the 23rd and the thread was originally posted on the 19th.

My question: how does a 4/5 day old thread remain active and continues to receive posts? I know that if a thread is not closed that it can continue to receive posts, but why are people continuing to post in a thread which is long past the expected activity period?
