The Republican party does not define conservatism. The GOP is merely the right-wing of the muddled middle.
What you say is true. Yet the Democrats are (at best) the left wing of the muddled middle. Like it or not these two parties win elections. Conservatism? Sorry, it's headless. The best it can do is steer one party or the other to victory. Right now many so-called "true conservatives" are indulging their hurt feelings by steering to the left. Some flatter themselves and call it strategy hoping for a great conservative revival. Personally I fear the ghost of Ross Perot leading another Democrat revival that will ride on the reminants of a great economy left in place by Republicans.
And not much of a right wing at that.
I agree-
But I will still vote Straight "R" even though I am one of those disgruntled "Conservatives"....but I suspect that Republican Leadership knew that all along.
Stay Home....NEVER!!!!
Man you totally nailed that one
