I'm certain too that Prop 2 will pass. When my husband goes door-to-door for his campaign, he finds that a lot of people are basing their vote on this issue. The minute he says that he supports it, the next they say, "I'll vote for you too".
It wasn't until I got to college that I realized what a scam AA/diversity is. I really couldn't figure out why it was so important for blacks to have their own house and cooking facilities, while the majority lived in dorm rooms and ate at the common dining hall. Then they'd complain that they weren't represented on campus, even though they chose to segregate themselves from the rest of the student population.
Furthermore, they had a really hard time with freshman retention - regardless of skin color- because a lot of people either didn't want to work too hard for their degree or the college didn't offer the program that they were interested in taking or learning about. Either way, it was a choice.
I really don't see how the AA prop can lose, except if people start coming back from the dead in Detroit to vote for this and Granholm.

40+ years of reverse discrimination to correct a wrong that was corrected more than 140 years ago. Time to end this insanity and move on.

The way I seen it: no offense intended.
I was not offended.

Hmmmpf... Can we agree that perhaps, maybe, in an ideal world?
While its not "reverse" yet, perhaps its not all that bad that discrimination is happening to some degree, eh? Or, maybe, not.

The article you linked had two minority groups fighting. Both groups would be covered by AA.
I don't see where discrimination enters into it?

Just so you know, man, that looks a whole lot worse than it actually is.
First off all, what do you have to be worried 'bout? Secondly, ...
O.k.? I just wanted that cleared up...
