It might be some future advancement of the internet, but as the internet is today, it cannot disseminate information as rapidly, as broadly, and as controlled as does the MSM....especially broadcast.

Yep. Until things hit the MSM, they don't truly exist. The most consistent voters are seniors, and many (like my family) don't have computers, or want them. They have talk radio and the MSM. Sometimes, if stories are talked about enough online and on talk radio, commentators on TV are forced to deal with them.
