On that I agree, the Dems would make things worse...if they were in power. But lately, I see very little differance between the two parties. To quote a great man, Mark Twain:
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session.
And IMO, maybe a split legislature is a good thing...very little would get done (i.e. very few new laws would get passed).
Just keep repeating this to yourself:
"Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi"
Then ask yourself how you will be able to live with yourself, knowing that you had a chance to stop it from becoming reality but instead you sat on your hands.
Let's see... you premise that little is being done, and then proffer, that little should be done. Am I correct?
Wrong.
The same thing always happens when the legislative bodies are split: Republicans cave in to rats consistently, and get little or nothing in return.
Remember Trent Lott and his idiotic "power-sharing" arrangement with Daschle?
The Democrats would surrender with the war on terror and bring the terrorism home here.
It seems in your case that Pres. Bush is a victim of his own success in the war on terror that people have gotten complacent because of the lack of attacks on America.
Well, there is a load of differences on social issues, taxes, judges, etc., when you think about it. I am holding my nose (with both hands) and voting.
