"Those who doubted whether Iraq or the world would be better off without Saddam Hussein, and those who believe today that we are not safer with his capture, don't have the judgment to be President, or the credibility to be elected President.

No one can doubt or should doubt that we are safer -- and Iraq is better -- because Saddam Hussein is now behind bars."

Senator John Kerry (Democrat, Massachusetts)
Speech at Drake University in Iowa
December 16, 2003

We handed over soveriegnty on time.

To add to your excellent post, not only did we hand over sovereignty on time, we did it EARLY. And IIRC, the media was pissed because they weren't given advance notice that it was going to happen early (probably because the Admin didn't want them to go leaking it all over the place).

John Kerry is Alan Colmes at 16 RPM.

Good God - "stand and lose" as a counter-slogan to "cut and run"? Kerry's tin ear is showing. Had he a slogan that might generate enthusiasm for an alternate policy it wouldn't sound like such a clunker, but he doesn't because he doesn't have the policy to begin with.

You're right in thinking that. Kerry is playing at politics. There is nothing serious in his pronouncements except that he might very well end up in the '08 elections and could win. Can he show some depth sometime before the country elects such a pompous sounding buffoon by mistake?

I don't think I've seen such a completely ignorant buffoon in politics so totally out of touch with the country and what people think...

I hate him.

On Thursday, Bush accused Kerry of adopting a "cut and run" policy. Kerry responded by saying that Bush has "cut and run" in Afghanistan.

Simply amazing... John Kerry is displaying all of the nuance and worldly knowledge of your average six-year old. He's playing the eternal children's game of "I am not, you are"...

I never thought that someone could surpass Bubba on my list of politicians I despise but, I must admit, Kerry has done it. Pompous, arrogant ass.
