First, thanks Phsstpok for the posting.

I have not listened to Mark Levin so I really don't know what he's been saying. But, if this is what he's putting out there he is absolutely right. I've never seen so many Republicans running around like Chicken Little proclaiming the sky is falling.

IF the Democrats win the House and Senate next month what would that mean? To me it would mean a party does not need a plan, a program, a position on issues that I believe are important in order to win. All they have to do is bash the other guy, make a lot of false accusiations and demonize the other side. If voters fall for that there's not much we can do about it.

In the mean time I'll keep the faith that voters will see through all this crap.

I fully expect to hear that Dingy Harry has checked into a rehab clinic.

Except, Reid would have to understand he did something wrong. I'm not convinced he understands that. To him, this is all just business as usual. If anything, this is only a GOP dirty trick against an honest politician.

It's never been more foolish than now to listen to the pap coming from the DBM.

I agree. I think I will be finishing some of those around the house projects over the next few weeks.

I am enjoying the run up to the dedication of the Air Force Memorial.

Reid is slick all right but he will have a hard time turning this one around, he has 4 kids that are all involved and he has already agreed "to pay a fine".
For some reason the rats seem to think they are always above reproach, truth is unless your last name is Clinton, you aren't.

Have you forgotten Patrick Kennedy? He was off to rehab in a New York minute! Or we can discuss the absent Senator Rockefeller, who suddenly developed back problems.

Nope, if this story gets legs, the democrats can't have him out in public dodging questions. Rehab or the hospital, mark my words.

Gotta work today cant watch, but I did meet up with several groups of soldiers on my trip last week.
Two young Marines just came from graduation ceremonies at the Marine base,Paris Island, in SC.
I told them that there were lots of us out there that supported them and were really proud of their service to our country. Every time I do that their faces light up.

You are probably right, at the very least he will go on a "learning" tour to China or somewhere, maybe a "listening" tour.

I expected Dingy Harry to be on every Sunday Morning show explaining his land deal. </ sarcasm>

I have to work tomorrow, so I'll try to keep track of the Sunday show thread from work. No TV here, so I'll just have to make the best of FR posts.

I intend to post this tomorrow morning also...

I just did an analysis of all the DBM's (including FNC) political web sites. I wanted to see if there really is bias in the DBM. I wasn't surprised to find it, of course.

I used the Foley "Scandal" versus the newly brewing information about Harry Reid.

The Foley scandal broke the day he resigned, Friday, Sept 29th. The Harry Reid scandal first broke on Tuesday the 10th, with the Solomon story on AP. Four days after the Foley story, every major DBM outlet, print and television, had it as the top story. Four days after the Reid story broke, only a few of the DBM have highlighted it, and then none as their top story.

Foley resigned after being outed. Reid is still serving as the top national elected democrat in the world.

Foley's supposed sexual predation of House pages, several perhaps underage, has led to calls for Dennis Hastert, Speaker of the House of Representatives, to step down, from within his own party, by almost all the top democrats, and by most of the DBM. Harry Reid has been asked to step down by a only couple of media outlets (Philadelphia Inquirer).

The television political web sites as of 10:00 AM CDT, Saturday 14 Oct 2006. Only two have any information on the Harry Reid Land Deal Swindle (as of my posting--note that these pages will probably be updated as time goes on):

ABC News

CBS News

CNN

Fox News

NBC (MSNBC) News

The DBM says that there really is no bias in their reporting, and that just as conservatives state there is bias towards the Left, Leftists state there is bias to the Right (as the DBM is owned by big corporations, who are Rightists). However, an objective analysis shows that when it comes to the Foley versus Reid scandals, the one damaging to the Republicans has been disseminated far and wide, while the one involving the Democrats has gotten virtually no coverage. The Foley scandal has worked its way into the national consciousness, hurting the Republican chances at keeping control of the government (indeed, a story the DBM is directly reporting and attributing to their coverage of the Foley scandal), while it appears that suppressing the Reid scandal is being done with the express desire to ensure it doesn't harm Democratic political chances in the coming election.

A small correction on the above:

Harry Reid is not nationally elected. He is only elected by citizens of Nevada. I meant to say that he is the top democrat of all elected democrats, worldwide.

Of course, any hint of a financial scandal on his part should be thoroughly investigated and reported, far more, one would objectively think, than a mid level ranked Republican Congressman involved in a sex scandal.

One would think.

Bwahahahahaha!!!!

I am very glad that you did that. I worry often that they have no idea how deep and ferocious that support is. Maybe a good time to remind folks about americasupportsyou.mil. Not as goood as face to face, but a good thing to do now and then to visit and say thanks.

"but why don't the rest get it?"

I don't know. I think some of them (Laura I immediately calling for Hastert to resign and many of the screaming about the Dubai port deal come to mind)don't do the due diligence they should and/or don't think logically through a story. FReepers do more investigation than many of them - - and they have Staff to do it for them! They're like some in the DBM - want to be the first out of the box w an opinion/story. Or, perhaps some of them want to look like they're mavericks and don't always cater to the conservative/Pubbie point of view. All they'd have to do is look at the history of polling in the past couple of elections and the demographics and questions being asked in the polls to know something isn't 'right'. Guess it's easier for them to help the DBM spout their nonsense than to do a little work, formulate new and different talking points and expound on differences.

"It's never been more foolish than now to listen to the pap coming from the DBM."

You are so right!

"Also I am not holding my breath hoping that any of the Sunday shows will have dingy harry on defending how he made 1.1 million bucks off 400,000, ala hillary style, he stole it!!
That story is bound to be buried deep in the archives of the msm."

Quite frankly, I was shocked that AP broke the story and a few others included it. But, I don't expect it to get much traction and, agree with you, it will be buried. There was a female attorney being interviewed by Greg Kelley (I like Kelly Wright better). He pretty much let her go on about how Reid really didn't do anything wrong, just some technicalities, yada, yada, yada. It's always a 'technicality' if a Dim does it but if a Pubbie does something similar or less, they must be censured and/or kicked out of Congress. I hope the Senate Ethics Committee investigates it, but I'm not holding my breath.

Hi AB,

You put some numbers to what we knew was true, but without verifying it. Thanks.

Rush made a comment to the effect that if the Democrats do not win in November, it will be a sign of the end for both the Democrats and old media. I agree that both are totally invested in seeing Republicans lose and if they don't win they will have fired their best shot and missed.

Consider the past few elections. Gore lost in 2000 and Kerry in 2004. The last mid-term election in 2002 resulted in Republicans gaining seats in the House and Senate, which had not happened in decades. If Democrats can't win now it will mean total losses for four major election cycles and it would be devastating to the psychotic views they have for themselves.

Then consider the media.  If Democrats lose next month that would mean that old media wisdom has not only failed but has been wrong for four election cycles.  What will they do in 2008?  Can the media say "trust us again" when they have been so wrong for so long?

From this perspective I just don't believe it.  I'll know one way or the other on November 8 but for now I refuse to allow either the Democrats or media dictate my enthusiasm or belief we'll win again in 24 days.
