Boortz: YOU'RE A GLOBAL WARMING SKEPTIC? THEN YOU'RE A CRIMINAL!

YOU'RE A GLOBAL WARMING SKEPTIC? THEN YOU'RE A CRIMINAL!

I'm a global warming skeptic. I believe that there has been some warming of the Earth's atmosphere over the last 20 years or so, but I do not believe that this warming has been primarily caused by man. In fact, I don't believe man has been much of a factor at all.

That makes me a criminal. That means I should be put on trial for "crimes against humanity."

This is the idea of David Roberts, a staff writer for Grist magazine. You may not have heard of Grist, but Al Gore has. Bill Moyers the hard-left so-called "newsman" from PBS has. They've granted interviews to Grist to push their global warming agendas. David Roberts is now calling for trials for war-crimes trials for people who express doubts that global warming is caused by man. He calls these people "bastards" and refers to the global warming "denial industry." Roberts is suggesting trials for these skeptics that mirror the Nuremberg trials for those responsible for the Holocaust.

Al Gore seems to be part of the Roberts crowd. He calls people like me "global warming deniers," a not so vague reference to "Holocaust deniers." An odd phrase for Gore to use considering the fact that his buddy Roberts is calling for Nuremburg-style trials.

So ... this is the status of free speech in 21st Century America for anyone who disagrees with the thoughts put forth by the anti-capitalist environmental crowd.

Do I need a lawyer yet?

If the nutball wants to put the skeptics on trial I can only imagine what he wants to do with the deniers.

Liberal movements always criminalize any opposition so no one can question how stupid the idea is. This is what communism is and global warming is another fake idea coming from communism.

Anyone wanna bet David Roberts is a girlie man metrosexual at best?

David Roberts is Grist's assistant editor.
http://www.participate.net/user/davidroberts

David was born and raised in the South. A revelatory summer working in Yellowstone National Park convinced him that it was not the world, but just the part where he lived, that sucked, so he moved out West. After way too many years in Montana pursuing graduate degrees in philosophy (no, really), he was lured out of the academy by the siren song of the heralded internet "boom" -- about six months too late. He was sinking ever further into the Seattle swamp of tech work, having already hit Amazon.com, IMDb.com, and Microsoft, when the fine folks at Grist threw him a life preserver in December 2003. (Total profits from stock options: $57. Meaningful work: priceless.)

He now spends his free time playing in his new house with his new sons and his not-so-new but still-wonderful wife. He loves them, loves Seattle, loves Grist, and still, despite himself, loves the internet.

"The Sun is in a changed state. It is brighter than it was a few hundred years ago and this brightening started relatively recently - in the last 100 to 150 years."

Well, thank you for that! Someone finally telling it like it is - quite refreshing!

Sometimes I wish there were more personal accountability for decisionmakers in our system. I mean, beyond merely losing their offoces or influence when they are proven wrong.

For example, those people who would keep us from listening in on conversations between terrorists should be held responsible when they get their way and we then suffer a catastrophic terrorist attack that could have been prevented.

The government can make life living hell for anyone in the private sector who gets caught playing accounting games to mislead people. But what about people in government who play accounting games? Beyond the quasi-private Fannie and Freddie stocked with government people like Jamie Gorelick, what about the people in Virginia State government who must have known that tax revenues were coming in very nicely while elected leaders were pushing for a HUGE tax increase to "save" Virginia's bond rating from being downgraded.

Anyone in VA State government knows the drill. You often get a really nice raise after a big tax increase is sold to the taxpayers. If you know revenues are pouring in, do you shout it from the rooftops and nix any chance of a nice fat pay raise? (And perhaps lose your job for revealing confidential government info without authorization).

It's reflective of the government education system that the average man would agree that the communist systems of the USSR, Cuba, Eastern Europe, etc. were all oppressive, freedom-somethering governments; yet they can't see the similarities between those policies and those of the American liberals.

I am a founding member. I usually look at such ideas as global warming in a historical vein. Not unlike a flat Earth, monsters, mermaids and a nuclear reaction triggering the obliteration of the entire Earth. We are but children, with very little knowledge, and a HUGE ego.

Hello ;-)
....Scriptures teach that....God spoke. ;-)

Ps. 46:6 says...
The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered;
He raised His voice, and the earth melted.

Read the first 3 verses of Psalm 46. They say a bit more about this orb we are floating around on.
Psalm 47 speaks of the earth as His and He is the King.
Psalm 65 talks about His abundant favor to the earth.

The wisdom of God is available to His children.

The world thinks God's wisdom is foolishness.
But that's okay....They'll learn in due time.

Skip the lawyer, buy a gun.

Even better. Start developing a mindset based around having to USE it.

Stuff like this starts out sounding crazy. Remember when we were saying that NO JUDGE would ever allow a lawsuit based on personal behaviors like eating too much and getting fat? How many lawsuits against various food companies are currently sliming their way through th courts? Kalifornistan is currently trying to set up a "green house gas" tax/regulation system that would effectively give a legal standing to exactly this kind of crap.

Liberalism will be the death of us.
