Talk is cheap. I'd like to know why she and Brad stiffed that hospital in Africa. And what gives them the right to manhandle the press, after going to the lengths they do to generate publicity. One would think that after the recent Mel Gibson debacle that folks would understand that there is very little correlation between the public image and private reality of Hollywood actors.

I don't know the details of what you describe, but I'd like to hear their side. From where I sit, she seems to be doing quite a bit to raise public consciousness about a problem she finds distressing. I can't fault her too much for that. The world is big enough to consider her words.
Yes, that's what Hollywood liberals do. "Raise public consciousness", spread guilt, take potshots at the West/US, oh, and generate publicity for their careers. All the while living in baronial splendor, staying at the most expensive resorts, flying in private jets, etc. I guess I'm a terrible cynic, but having seen some of this up close, I tend to be a bit leery.

She's now filming the brutal story of Daniel Pearl's murder. She assured everyone in a recent press release that the movie is not going to be about terrorism and good vs. evil (God forbid.) It's going to be about "people coming together." There's a Hollywood liberal for ya'.

I'm fairly cynical, too, but I guess I've been affected by the fact that I love the Tomb Raider films and the idea that she and Brad are apparently fans of Atlas Shrugged and are (she, at least) working to bring it to the screen. So, I guess I'm cutting her some slack.

Do you realllly know what a Christian is? A true Christian
believes truly from the heart accepts that Jesus is the Son of God, was born from a virgin, died on the cross and arose 3 days later. Truly from the heart believe that you are a sinner and Christ is your only way to heaven. You have to believe that He died on the cross to forgive your sins. You have to admit you are a sinner and ask Christ to forgive and put your sins on His sinless shoulders. After this, each day you strive to live you live after Christ's sinless life, knowing it is impossible. A Christian still sins but is forgiven. A Christian should find sin detestable and run from it.
