I voted for Pete Coors, although I thought he was not a great candidate. I will also vote for Lamborn to help keep the Dems from taking the House.

I didn't vote for Lamborn, or Crank, or Rivera in the primary.

A lot of CO-5 Republicans are very troubled by the deceptions that were spread about Jeff Crank and Lionel Rivera by the Lamborn campaign and those closely associated with his campaign. I am not trying to dissuade others from voting for Lamborn -- I advised people to vote FOR him in a post above. I am trying to explain why a Republican is in a horse race in a redder than red district.

Perhaps Lamborn is a fine man, but he left an entirely different impression on many CO-5 Republican voters during the primary. That's why his campaign is doing poorly in a district virtually any Republican should win easily.

I am happy to see that you plan to support Mr. Lamborn in November. He will be an excellent Representative.

As to the polls, don't fall for them. They are being generated to encourage Democrats and to supress the Republican vote.

When the votes are all counted, the district will still be bright red.

My only concern is that the top of the ticket will drag down other Republicans.

Bob Beauprez is a decent guy. I know him personally. Our kids went to school together.

That said, he has run an awful campaign for Governor and allowed the media to put him on the defensive time and again.

Rather than apologising for speaking the truth in interviews and speeches he should have told the lefties to pound sand and expanded on his remarks.Instead, he gave his detractors the high ground by apologising.

We in Colorado must encourage others to not get put off about that race nor ignore the other races down ticket.

I will vote for Bob and encourage others to do so, despite his poor performance.

In character and his over all beliefs, he is head and shoulders above Ritter, the CINO (Catholic in Name Only).

God bless,
Sursum Corda

Co Springs is as conservative as you get, but Fawcett is the most dangerous kind of democrat right now. He's military and he has a detailed and well thought-out plan for Iraq. Lamborn has been running a sloppy campaign and really doesn't have a chance.
