"As people know, it's not always possible for me to disclose my role in some of the activities."
"I can say this. I had the emails before they were on the net. Additionally, I had the additional emails, written by the page to a friend. The story was being written by a number of outlets and I provided additional information to reporters involved in the breaking of this story."
"Was the central figure in reporting on Foley's latest scandal? Never said I was. Was my work on the case important to helping make sure it came out before the election?" "Yes."
"Did I have any idea that the GOP leadership was engaged in a cover-up? Nope. Do I love the fact that they are trying to spin this as 'naughty emails?' Yup. because it shows how out of tought they are about queer closet cases."

How is it that ABC publishes these emails, claim that the addressee was 16, and then when it turns out he was 18, there is hardly a murmur of yellow journalism?
Gee, it sure is nice to know that stand-up guys like Mike Rogers are out there defending the republic for everyone.
Schmuck.
Like that's supposed to be a bad thing or something?
Come on, tell us how you received the emails? Are you also a homosexual and therefore you were privy to the emails?
Foley-gate fiction ping.
Hey Democrats...your fellow Dems are OUTING GAYS who do not want to be outed!!
Who is Mike Rogers?
To ask the question is to answer it. This guy Rogers is the so called "intermediary" referred to in Brian Ross's (ABC) reporting -- only Ross made it 'appear' as though the intermediary was a Republican, working in tandem with another (willing) republican staffer who was the "source".
As I theorized in a posting here at FR, that impression/inference created by Ross was a LIE: the intermediary was Rogers (a gay activist who specializes in 'outing' blackmail of closeted gays) and the source/staffer was Fordham, the gay Foley staffer who was being blackmailed by Rogers.
Fordham provided, under such a threat, the e-mails, and Rogers could have easily followed up the e-mail sources to get the IMs.
Rogers and ABC's Ross then conspired to time the release to the election. Ross is clearly 'conspiring' by hiding so many of the relevant unsavory details of the Dem involvement.
Werent they IM's?

Democrat Campaign Committee Knew About Foley IMs
October 04, 2006 04:01 PM EST
By Sher Zieve In a WorldNet Daily exclusive, it was reported Wednesday that the liberal Democrat gay activist blog Gateway Pundit had planned to out Rep. Mark Foley (R-FL) as being gay. WND writes that The Washington Blade also reported that 2 gay activists had shared the Foley IMs (instant messages), sent to former Capitol Hill Pages by Foley, with the Democrat Campaign Committees Bill Burton.
The 2 activists, Mike Rogers and John Aravosis, are said to have been angered by Foleys voting with President Bush against gay marriage. Of the Foley emails and IMs, Rogers said: I can say this. I had the emails before they were on the net. Additionally, I had the additional emails, written by the page to a friend. The story was being written by a number of outlets and I provided additional information to reporters involved in the breaking of this story.
Did I have any idea that the GOP leadership was engaged in a cover-up? Nope. Do I love the fact that they are trying to spin this as "naughty emails?" Yup. because it shows how out of (touch) they are about queer closet cases."

Sewer dwellers want everyone else in the sewer with them.
Certainly not Mr. Rogers neighborhood as most of us know it.
Which Mike Rogers?
There are two congressman named Mike Rogers.
Who is this guy?
Actually, it's kinda strange for a liberal to call someone gay "a queer closet case".
Rather insenstive.
Poor Mr. Rogers, wish he was still with us.
