The news excerpted above (and behind the link) shows us one reason for the skittishness of governments (including our own) to engage in military solutions. Will economic situations be ultimately worse with or without more regime changes soon?

The silver lining: it might torpedo the aspirations of the South Korean candidate (Ban/Bin?) to Kofi's post the UN.

Isn't the correct title "Seoul STOCKS Tumble"?

This would never have happened without the help of the South Korean govt.
For the last several years the South has fed the North Korean army.
Let's make nice with the North and try to seek reunification? Yeah right, idiots.
NOw you can live under Nuclear threat.

This can only mean one thing. Our "friends" in South Korea will send more aid to North Korea hoping to buy peace.

South Korea is basically the biggest reason we can't go anything remotely aggressive or intimidating on N.K. The South has gotten all squishy after a generation of the US keeping them safe and warm at night and now, just like Europe, they have grown to resent the protect we have provided them. If it wasn't for the threat that N.K. would nuke Seoul as its first act in response to an offensive by us, we would have been able to send a buttload of JDAMS over to one of the glorious leaders regular parades and get rid of his entire leadership in about 10 seconds.

Well isn't that brave. When America got hit on 9/11 my children and I bought stocks as soon as the market re-opened.
Our way of saying we believe in America!

Our market should be up sharply today. Good news = Drop in Dow while Bad News = Dow Sharply Up -- that's the way it works.

Seoul tumbles after North Korea confirms nuke test
Okay, so we combine these two things: 1. North Korea sets off 5-15 kiloton blast. 2. North Korea tests missile that failed somewhere down range.
And get this: Ooops, looks like North Korea was trying to hit South Korea/Japan/U.S. in Iraq/whatever when its launch went awry and took out Pyongyang/Tehran/Beijing/Syria/whatever with a 7.5 kiloton explosion. We send our condolences to the rest of the North Korean people over the loss of their Supreme Leader. May his Dong rest in pieces.
