It didn't take long for the Russian's to make their presence known over Iceland's airspace once the US military pulled out last month. Hopefully this will shake Iceland into providing for their own defense.

...Gudmundsdóttir says that the DCAA only registers aircraft that have their radars on, and this is not always the case with military aircraft...Perhaps they mean transponders.

Hopefully this will shake Iceland into providing for their own defense. They really can't do all that much that would be effective. I doubt they can even afford a few used F-16s. They are are very small country, in terms of population.
