Students stormed the stage at Columbia University's Roone auditorium yesterday, knocking over chairs and tables and attacking Jim Gilchrist, the founder of the Minutemen, a group that patrols the border between America and Mexico.

Did any volunteer to give their place in the student roster to an illegal, and go to another school? That's what it's about, and when these "American Citizens" lose their place to an illegal, they won't be quite as intent on attacking those who understand the invasion that's in progress....

Having wreaked havoc onstage, the students unrolled a banner that read, in both Arabic and English, "No one is ever illegal." Who said the illegals aren't being funded by the arabs?

I wish I was running that school. Every name of every student would have been collected and they would have been suspended for a semester. Of course that would have curtailed their academic freedom and we can have that!

Obviously well-read intellectuals devoted to the give and take of ideas. Columbia can be proud. I used to spend considerable time with such heavy thinkers, by the way. Then I quit my summer job at the circus and went back to junior high.
