Meet Jordan Edmund One Mark Foley Instant Messanger
Passionate America ^ | 10/4/06 | Wild Bill

Posted on 10/04/2006 1:58:14 PM PDT by Gribbit

Mark Foley is a scumbag! Mark Foley is a scumbag! Mark Foley is a scumbag!

Now that that is out of the way I will reveal how I (and a few others) discovered Jordan Edmund was one of the former house pages that participated in sexually explicit instant messages with Rep. Mark Foley. Also I will explain to you why I believe it necessary to reveal Jordan Edmund's identity. You may not agree with my decision, but I hope to explain my reasoning by the end of this story.

[from post #305 above]: "One of his Frat brothers from Berkley called the Passionate America Show and confirmed that Jordan showed these emails as proof that he had "dirt" on a Congressman. He has been described as power hungry and craving influence."

This guy sounds like trouble all around, Ishtook better figure out who's minding the store but it's probably already too late for that.

This whole thing may be a set-up from several angles, this guy going after Foley, and the Demagogues + MSM grossly abusing the public's trust in how they've approached it, how long they withheld it to spring it just before a national election, etc. What a STENCH.....

He says on his myspace account that he is taken some time off from college "to pursue his career" as deputy campaign manager for Istook. Then he intends to return to finish his degree for 1 1/2 years.

I haven't slogged through all the threads on this yet, but has anyone noticed that on his myspace.com profile, there's a line for "sexual orientation" and he puts "STRAIGHT"....? Now of course there are closeted gays, but one has to wonder whether this whole thing is a set-up from the beginning, i.e., why was this guy allowing any IM exchange at all with sexual overtones from an older man if he wasn't even "into men"???? For purposes of future blackmail and/or power-tripping vis-a-vis the House Republican leadership???? Is this guy even a Republican??? When I read the stuff on his myspace.com homepage I find it hard to imagine a young conservative behind that page........

He is already down 31 points in the latest poll! I have the news turned to Channel 9 as I have heard the media is camped out wanting to talk to him. According to what I just heard, the kid still was working for Istook today.

Someone called and told me that Istook's office had confirmed it was him. Bet he is not so arrogant tonight.

Several of us thought the Istook campaign manager and this kid were odd and couldn't figure out why they were hired from San Diego. Wonder what anyone is going to say?

What are the chances of an assistant campaign manager in OK being the person who outed Foley? I would have said slim to none and the fact a lot of us know him is even more astounding. Neither this kid or the campaign manager who came with him will look you straight in the eye.

Bless your heart! I thought the same thing too.

With only a month before the November elections and we get hit by a good, old fashioned sex scandal. Perfect timing!

Thanks..I was under the impression he graduated.

Man, things have changed....in my day it would have been graduate from college THEN be a Deputy Campaign manager, LOL!

I have a gut feeling he is in this up to his eyeballs, and if I am wrong, I will apologize.

This Jordan Edmund describes himself as a "political operative" over at myspace. Me thinks his political career is over and that he will go the way of this "Special Forces Ranger" outed a little while ago:

"Exactly. Which is why I believe his AIM account was 'jacked and used in this operation."

If it was, he will have his chance to shout it at the top of his lungs ..... according to PhiKapMom the media is camped outside his door.

I think they are trying to get Hastert. His campaign staff has pretty much tanked his campaign already as they are the worst I have ever seen.

This hit me like a glass of cold ice water and explains why they didn't want the Sullivan campaign to be able to ask the tough questions in the primary. His campaign staff would fight dirty and then blame Sullivan -- it was surreal in the primary.

Jordan has hired Stephen Jones, the McVeigh attorney, and the Istook campaign is not commenting. Stephen Jones has been contacted by the FBI.

This is leading off the news! It is supposed to be on-line and will post as soon as I find out.

Boy.... I'm glad I revisited this thread and found your comments.

Coming from just about anybody else I would have my doubts...but I trust not only your words, but your judgement.

Here is the latest from the Oklahoman and what was reported on the news on Channel 9 (CBS):

Istook aide may be victim in page scandal

A former U.S. House page working on the gubernatorial campaign of Republican Rep. Ernest Istook may be a part of the scandal involving former Congressman Mark Foley, The Oklahoman has learned.

The former page, a Californian named Jordan Edmund, on Wednesday hired Enid attorney Stephen Jones to represent him, the attorney confirmed.

Jones would not say exactly why he was hired, but did say, “I understand the FBI and the House Ethics committee have an interest in the matter ... the allegations concerning Congressman Foley which have surfaced.”

Foley, a Republican from Florida, resigned abruptly on Friday after it was learned that he exchanged sexually explicit e-mails with former pages. The FBI is investigating.

Istook’s campaign manager, Chip Englander, who is also from California, declined comment Wednesday to an Oklahoman reporter.

However, Englander gave The Oklahoman a statement that was attributed to Istook.

The statement says, “The sad and sick behavior of Mark Foley was a total surprise to me when it was revealed. Law enforcement is doing its job, and I support that effort. Now we should all support and protect the victims, and they should not be hounded by the press.

“It was a complete surprise to learn this morning that one victim may be someone I know. Each one of the victims deserves their privacy. To every reporter I request, please have the decency to avoid making things worse for the victims, and just leave them alone. This happened years ago when the victims were minors.”

Reached at his home, Istook referred to the prepared statement.

Edmund’s name surfaced on Internet “blogs” that linked him to the instant message address used in communications with Foley.

One blogger got the instant message address from the Web site of ABC News, which has obtained the instant messages sent between Foley and a former page.

In the sequence of messages identified by the blogger, Foley tells the person to “strip down and get relaxed.”

It is not clear whether Foley’s other instant messages, including one in which he apparently conducted “instant message” sex with a person, were all to the same person.

Asked why Edmund needed an attorney, Jones said, “You read the blogs. You know why he needs an attorney.”

Jones, who represented Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh in his murder trial in Denver, confirmed Edmund was a U.S. House page.

“I’ve been retained in the last several hours,” Jones said. “I’m still reviewing matters.”

Jones said the two met Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Edmund had an Internet page on the popular MySpace Web site.

On that page, he identified himself as being 21 years old and said he had been attending college at the University of California at Berkeley. He said he was going to Oklahoma to be deputy campaign manager for Istook’s gubernatorial effort, the Web site stated.

Edmund registered to vote in Oklahoma in March, records show.

The House Ethics Committee is scheduled to hold a closed-door meeting this morning about the Foley matter.

Rep. Tom Cole, R-Moore, one of the 10 members of the committee, flew back to Washington on Wednesday for what he called an “emergency meeting.”

He said the committee today would not hear from witnesses but would set the parameters of the investigation.
