Thank you Morris. We know the Republicans are in good shape if he starts making predictions 5 weeks out of an election. Were you the same one who wrote this in 2002?

NEW DICK MORRIS COLUMN - DOOM!!! (Right before 2002 election--wrong again)

There's a huge difference between this incident and Clinton. Number 1, Clinton was the President. Number 2, Clinton lied and denied everything. Number 3, Clinton used the power of his office to coverup and obstruct.

I'm starting to believe that the worst of this isn't even true. How hard is it to steal someones passcode for IM? How hard is it pretend your someone else? Happens all the time here on FreeRepublic, doesn't it?

The Hill writes:

"The details don’t matter much."

LOL...yes they do and some folks are working on those 'details' as we speak!

Geez...the truth is going to come out and it's looking like really BAD NEWS for the dems!

There is a problem with this assessment. The American people know Foley is one man and both parties have been negligent in protecting "the children." They also know the media is in the hands of the left. Republicans see the bigger picture, i.e., the possible nuclear test threat by North Korea, winning the war on terror, protection from attack and staying alert and active on the border issue. If there ever was a time to crawl over broken glass to get to the voting booth, this is it.

Thank God. Morris has been 180 degrees off on every single political prognostication he's ever made. This assures we'll gain seats.

From Wikipedia:

"Morris is best known for managing Bill Clinton's successful 1996 bid for re-election to the office of President of the United States. His tenure on that campaign was cut short two months before the election, when it was revealed that he had had an extramarital affair with a prostitute (named Sherry Rowlands) and allowed her to listen in on conversations with the President. Following the scandal, Morris turned his focus to media commentary."

Scarborough, Morris. It's like it's homecoming week for politicos whose careers have ended because of sex scandals.

And where do they end up? As pundits on TV.

...his colleagues who hushed up the affair until it burst onto the public stage.

If Morris thinks that's what happened, he should prove it. Where are the details?

The details don’t matter much.

Oh.   Ohhhhhh-kay.

One more pious member of the Moral Majority, one more legislator who makes a career out of fighting for “values” and crusading to protect children turns out to be a hypocrite and an abuser himself!

That's not hypocrisy, that's a man afraid of his own predilections and tendencies; a man who understands clearly what is right, in contrast with the evil in his own evil.

"...the former Rep. Mark Foley (R-Fla.) scandal will be to the Republican congressional leadership what the Monica Lewinsky imbroglio was to the Clinton presidency."

Liberal projection.

"But there is nothing murky about what Foley did and the voters will find the story interesting and easy to follow."

I really don't think the public gives a damn about this, despite the efforts of the Dems and the media to politicize what is basically a personal sex crime. Joe Blow just sees this as another garden variety sexual scandal. After all, isn't Barney Frank still in Congress? Isn't Clinton still the hero of the Dems?

THe one thing the toe sucker and all the other pundits and Dem lovers are missing --- NOBODY GIVES A FLYING F*CK ABOUT THIS.

I have been asking around work, my friends, and family ...

I get one response and one response only :

"WHo is Mark Foley?"

That was followed by this from about half

"Big deal he is not my congressman."

We may have a winner!!!!

Comments section, post #6

FYI, you may have heard this, but Selena Zito with the Pittsburgh Tribune Review (I’m pretty sure that’s right) called in on a local (Birmingham,Alabama) talk radio program this morning. She said a major story might
break today that a high ranking Democrat knew about the Foley matter and she hinted there was coordination with ABC, probably through George Stephanopoulos to release the story. (Not taking away from what a disgusting creep Foley is, but considering the reaction by the Dems to the
story, this would look pretty bad for them IMO). Zito said she had a few more facts to verify, she does not want to report anything until she’s absolutely certain.

She also said other “outings” would most likely occur before the election
and would further hurt the Republicans although she said Democrats would
probably be affected as well.

I’m paraphrasing what she said, this is basically the gist of it. When the
talk radio host asked when this might come out, she said he would be her
second phone call.

Oh my. It seems to me that within days this scandal will fall into the laps of the ones who blew it wide open: The gay lobby on Capitol Hill who are all for gay marriage and adoption. (so to speak)
