Wow! I've finally hit the big time! DU is interested in hating ME!
I'd like to thank all the little people who made this possible - Clinton, Kerry, Pelosi, Kennedy...

pornographic
That could very well be your answer. To enjoy them again.

Don't all politicians? I mean, they have to be investigated for the ability to review classified documents, don't they?
To: elc
Well, with Foley we know it wasn't cunning linguists that set him up.

I have nothing to go on, but my instinct tells me that the GOP also has things up their sleeves, and will hit the dems when they have no time to recover.
I am very confident about that.

No set up.
They did it to themselves....but there's a big difference.
Allen shot himself in the foot with a 22.
Foley with a double barrel shotgun.

I'm curious as to why the Rats or whoever had the IMs didn't unleash them before the 2004 elections. Surely the 2004 elections were of greater importance than this year's mid-terms.They were convinced that the French Poodle was going to lead them into the promised land of eternal DemocRatic dominance. They never expected to lose so they many not have thought this was necessary. Plus, it runs risk of backfiring on them should some DemocRats get sucked in as well. By the way, have we heard from Bawney Fwank yet?

Darth, Rush said today that the Democrats know the Foley scandal will be dead by Friday, so they will post another scandal Friday night to make the Sunday morning shows.

Keep the faith.
If the country wants these Demorats in office...
then the country will be in a bind for the next
few years. President Bush...has done his best to
alert us all...we are dealing with Psychos..and they
don't even value their own life..so they sure as heck
have no qualms about snuffing yours out..anytime,
anywhere, anyway....and they prefer the Dems in office,
so go figure ?????????? Jake

What would motivate ANYONE to save such IMs (pornographic or incriminating) unless they had a specific agenda?
How about a 16 to 18 year old boy, who might be doing things his parents would not approve of. Call it CYA! If you were ever caught by your parents, it comes in handy to be able to implicate the other party involved, especially if that other party is an adult. That would be plenty of movtivation to me.

Don't all politicians? I mean, they have to be investigated for the ability to review classified documents, don't they? The "secret" FBI files I am referring to were done by Craig Lingstone and were/are kept right next to the Rose Law Firm records.
There is a certain box that does not ever get more than 20 feet away from a certain Senator from NY.

Is this wishful thinking or do you know something?

Would it have been real easy to intercept wireless conversations if the routers weren't password protected? Couldn't they be set that way ahead of time? Guess I'm assuming that they use wireless access in the House with an intranet.
To: TexanByBirth
Whoever copied and saved the IMs did so for political reasons. This will eventually will be traced back to a Rat. The 16 year old would just delete the message. No message, no parental knowledge.
To: conservative blonde
Rove has allegedly promised an October Surprise.
And I'd guess he probably has one up his sleeve.

"I am thinking it may be even more sleezy. Let's say the DEMS get the name of one of the pages involved in the less damaging email contacts from Foley. They convince him to contact Foley again and try to get him to get more "personal". Then they can easily track what is going on in the IM's."
I still say that the page immediately brought the first IM/e-mail from Foley to his boss's attention and they were the ones who set this all up by pretending to be this page....that's my theory.
To: oust the louse
Oust, I have a gut feeling this will all blow up in Pelosi's botox face. I am sure Karl Rove has a mole in ABC news who will find out the leaker, and will trace it back to a DEM leader.
To: Welike ike
I doubt any rep/con/tair would want to do mole duty at ABC.
