Fascinating and sad. When a liberal commits a grave moral error, the Left closes ranks around him and provides support. When one of our conservatives, in this case Hastert, is attacked even unfairly for failing to know hidden information, many conservatives are quick to turn on him and demand his head.
Folks, we'll never overcome when we do that!
Could it be because Conservatives have greater moral values than Democrats and Liberals? Could it be that no matter who the perpetrator and those who help him conceal his despicable, abominable acts are, people still need to be held responsible for their actions?
Huh? Huh? When is Denny Hastert going to point a crooked finger at the camera and say: "I did not have self-gratifying, sexual relations with those e-mails." ?
I am beginning to think that "conservatives" -- yes, even Freepers -- who make these claims never had any intention of voting GOP in the first place and actively look for some reason to justify their decision to the rest of us.
If they're not going to vote GOP, fine; I just wish they would shut up about it.
