Faso calls for Hevesi's resignation (Faso R,C nominee for governor, Hevesi D comptroller in NY)

Republican candidate for governor John Faso tells News 8 Democratic State Comptoller Alan Hevesi is a criminal and he should resign.

Faso made those comments in an interview here at Channel 8 Friday. He says Hevesi is getting away with a crime and his Democratic opponent for governor, Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, is doing nothing about it.

Earlier this week Hevesi agreed to reimburse the state $82,000 after is was revealed he used a state employee as his wife's chauffeur for the last three years.

"And I'm appalled the comptroller of the state of New York has admitted now he stole 82-thousand dollars from the state of NY, the taxpayers," says Faso. "And what's even more appalling to me is that Eliot Spitzer, my opponent for governor says it's ok. He says Alan Hevesi is an honest guy and apologizing for this theft of taxpayer money."

In a debate this week, Eliot Spitzer said there should be "consequences" for Hevesi's actions, but did not call for him to resign.

Hevesi always has been and always will be a dirt bag. You may remember what he said about Chucky-boy shooting Pres. Bush between the eyes.

That works out to about 27 grand a year. Sounds lowball to me.

How could any adult in a democracy think that this is acceptable behavior? These people are despicable.

Sad part is, he not only won't resign, he'll probably be re-elected.

:sigh: I wish Rudy Giuliani had run for Governor.

The situation in NY state is so bad, I find myself hoping that uber-RINO NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg runs for something.

The only thing I want that liberal fascist Bloomingidiot to run for is President on a 3rd party line in '08 to take votes away from the 'Rats, otherwise I hope he fades away for good. He makes Ah-nold look like a John Bircher.

Unless McCain renounces a run for the White House on any third party platform, he and Bloomboob might make a hash of Unity08 as the two egos battle for head of the ticket. McCain is too old for second fiddle, and Bloomboob is too arrogant.

John Faso nearly defeated Hevesi three years ago and now people are seeing what a crook Hevesi is. I people wake up and vote for Callahan for Controller and Faso for governor.
