Hillary: Bill Won’t Be Pushed Around

Sen. Hillary Clinton has spoken up in support of her husband Bills defense of his anti-terror efforts, saying shes tired of Democrats being pushed around on national security issues.
"I just think that my husband did a great job in demonstrating that Democrats are not going to take this, she said on Monday in remarks reported by Newsday.
In a heated discussion with Chris Wallace on "Fox News Sunday, Bill Clinton said that as president, he did more than many of his conservative critics to pursue al-Qaida, and alleged that President Bush didnt try to stop terrorism in the eight months of his presidency before the 9/11 attacks.
Hillary agreed, adding: "All you have to do is read the 9/11 commission. I thought all he did was state what had been repeatedly found in the various studies that have taken place.
Hillary continued: "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,'" Clinton said, "he would have taken it more seriously than history suggests it was taken by our current president and his national security team."
Curiously, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also referred to the commission in ripping Clintons claims and defending the Bush administrations efforts against terrorism: "I would just suggest that you go back and read the 9/11 commission report on the efforts of the Bush administration in the eight months . . .
"The notion somehow for eight months the Bush administration sat there and didnt do that is just flatly false and I think the 9/11 commission understood that.
In any case, even conservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol see political benefits in Clintons headline-grabbing counterattack on his critics. He said: "In this interview, Clinton rallied Democrats. He reminded them of their talking points on Bush's alleged passivity in his first eight months in office . . .
"If the Bush-Rove war-on-terror offensive stalls out this week . . . and Democrats do well in November, Bill Clinton can take credit, at a crucial moment, for discrediting the terror issue as a mere political ploy, and showing Democrats how to fight back.

Bill can only be pushed around by Hillary. Hillary and Arab terrorists. But he's more afraid of Hillary.

They both deal in plausible reality deniability.

And Hil-liar-y, contrary to all the hype, is not a very bright individual IMHO.

conservatives like Weekly Standard editor Bill KristolI'm not altogether sure what Kristol is, but I'm pretty sure he's not a conservative. Anyway, as for rallying points, if the dems need ol' BJ Clintoon to remind them of their talking points, they're in baaaaad shape. And everytime Hillary opens her big mouth and defends him, it just reminds the rest of us what a miserable piece of work she is.

The odd part is the "Chinese Finger Trap" aspects of all this. The harder they try to erase the fact they did nothing the more that one fact stands out starkly.
Behaving in a manner such as Bill Clinton did will not help Democrats. Much of their anti whatever rhetoric is just that, rhetoric. Fortunately for us they have now pounded those drums for so long and so loud that no one will believe differently of them.

"Hillary continued: "I'm certain that if my husband and his national security team had been shown a classified report entitled 'Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside the United States,'"
So, basically they wanted an engraved invitation to defend the United States? That whole part of the Presidential oath about defending the US against all enemies didn't mean anything to them? She is such an ass.

Gotta watch out for that VRWC. It is all-seeing, all-knowing - and the controller of this enormous group is Rove, who is truly all-seeing and all-knowing.
Probably her highness's home(s), car(s), even her hair dresser's place, is bugged - If I were her, I would fire everyone and really clean house.
This is all too funny for words. When will Chelsea sound off, I wonder? I think it is probably time for the poor child to voice her sadness about the way her poor put-upon father is being treated by the VRWC.
Let's see, who else is due to come out of the woodwork?

Am I the only one that remembers Hillary standing up on the floor of the Senate holding over her head the tabloid headline, "Bush Knew" and demanding an independent investigation of 9/11? This was a defining moment for me. Until that time, I was willing to believe that Clinton had done the best he could to combat terrorism. Note, that is the best HE could do, not the best that someone else could have done. I was offended by this purely partisan tactic. Talk about politicizing 9/11! But, when Sandy Berger stole and destroyed items of vital national interest so they could never come before this "independent investigation", I completely severed any ties to my democratic past.

I remember, so the question today is What did Hillry know and When did she know it? It has become quite evident that the only thing BJ knows is what Richard Clarke wrote in his book.
I think Bill Clinton invoked the name Richard Clarke 11 times in his temper tantrum.
Did Richard Clarke report directly to Hillry and is she the one that filtered down to Bill what she thought he needed to know, cause we all know he was other *wise* occupied. He had to pay a price for playing with Monica, so exactly how much power did Hillry get to yield?
