I would agree with you except for one big BUT - Rangel has said virtually the same thing as Chavez has about Bush, therefore making his protest rather insincere (to put it mildly).
Rudy Giuliani is a Centrist.
Note that driving a car is a privelege the RKBA is a RIGHT.
I like Giuliani!!!
He would have made life difficult for Chavez and told him so.
no, Rudy is a tax and spend, gun-grabbing pro-abortion liberal.
-from a former NYer.
Is that his actual result?
I wouldn't vote for Giuliani for president on a bet. But he was a great mayor of New York.
If Rudy runs for president, he will have my vote. I like what he did for NYC and he would be a strong president. He also went after the mob in NYC before he became mayor.
Conservatives ALWAYS have a dismissive attitude towards liberals.
Yes. Shocking isn't it? He's not nearly as liberal as many folks want us to believe. He's in fact not liberal at all, as you can see.
I fall right on the conservative/libertarian line.
Over the past several years I have disagreed with your opinions frequently, however I find it funny that people from California and Arizona are having orgasms about a liberal gun grabber from a State they've never been to.
Not only did Rudy ruin NYC his policies spilled out into the rest of NY and that's what's helping to destroy the once great Empire State.
Good riddance, if he is the GOP Nominee, God help us I will not be voting Republican.
HE IS NOT A LIBERAL...and there are many of us out there who are more than one or two issue voters.
screaming and stamping your feet doesn't detract from his own words and actions. In any other State, this guy would be a Democrat.
Out of the top 5 issues, Taxes & Spending and Firearm Ownership are two of the most important. Throwing those out the window (and trading them for Pro Abortion views?) only makes the bitter taste worse.
He may average out as a centrist on all issues, but on social issues your red dot is way to the left.
Tax reductions of $10.4B through 2003. (Dec 1999) Supports Task Force to continue reduce taxes. (Dec 1999) Eliminated sales tax on clothes; reduced real estate tax. (Dec 1999) From On the Issues
From Right Wing News:
Giuliani: Pro-growth tax-cutter Rudy Giuliani has proven, both during his tenure as mayor of New York and through his subsequent rhetoric, that he is a pro-growth Republican in the mold of Ronald Reagan, Jack Kemp, and Newt Gingrich. As mayor, Giuliani cut city taxes by more than eight billion dollars, reducing the tax burden on New Yorkers by 22%. Giulianis low-tax views remain intact. As Race42008 correspondent Kavon noted yesterday, Rudys recent visit to Minnesota included an emphasis on achieving economic growth via low taxes and less regulation on the economy. Rockefeller he aint; Rudys a Reagan Republican.
He is in favor of abortion because it's a states right issue and though opposed personally is not about to tread on rights. He also as an officer of the court has to support the law of the land. This is not exactly a radical view.
