Venezuela oil pimp can have UN

Venezuela oil pimp can have UN

May your prayers be answered, Señor Chavez. May the United Nations leave New York for residence in Venezuela, so very far from the diplos' lush and cushy berth on the East Side. The sorry organization isn't worth the gridlock. You're more than welcome, please, to take the atrophied, self-abasing remains of a global ideal 2,100 miles to Caracas, where you can play the messianic oil baron game to your heart's content with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, fresh in from Tehran, perhaps with a dirty bomb in his suitcase.

You can take the UN, and you can shove it - there.

And you can shove the gasoline you sell to Americans through Citgo, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Venezuelan national oil company through which you are bribing your way into international power.

It is, frankly, un-American for U.S. citizens to pour money into any bank account that bears the Hugo Chavez name, you being despicable enough to suggest that "the U.S. empire planned and conducted" the 9/11 terror attacks "against its own people" as an excuse to go to war.

And you can shove the fuel oil you are offering at a discount to some poor Americans, including folks here in New York with the aid and comfort of the moronically misguided Rep. Jose Serrano. This is nothing but a public-relations stunt by a populist poseur on the order of, well, Fidel Castro.

As for your address to the General Assembly yesterday, it troubles us not that you referred to President Bush as a Devil of rank sulfurous odor - although it is of more than passing interest that back at home, a Chavez critic who dared voice such colorful language about El Presidente would risk prison or, worse, a bullet.

Far more pertinent is that oil-bought Chavez cronyism is pervasive enough among UN member states to put Venezuela in serious contention for a spot on the Security Council, the body the world is forced to rely on to stem Ahmadinejad's atomic aspirations. Once there, Venezuela would work to help Iran become the world's most dangerous country - one dedicated to the destruction of Israel.

Saddam Hussein had his way with the UN by corrupting the oil-for-food program to buy his way out of having to comply with weapons inspections. Today's trade is oil for nukes, and the UN is again reclining into a supine position.

The parliament of mankind? Naw. A cheap bordello.

The author hits the nail on the head.

Hugo Chavez is a genuine nut case and ranks right up there with Akmanmoonassmoobeamnodad president of iran.

It was the only thing I agreed with Chavez on. Move the UN out of the US.

The Citco boycott is troublesome cause the stations are owned by American small business people, most of which were operators long before Hugo.
As for the UN, I`ll help them pack.
Hope the next President tosses the UN and starts a new organization made up of free countries willing to fight terrorists.

Yes, on both suggestions; Getting the UN out of the U.S. would free up a lot of need office space in NYC, and not buying Citgo gas would hurt him financially. We ARE the biggest buyers of his product. Will we be able to do a boycot? That remains to be seen. Certainly a good idea though.

Chavez is like a lot of ignorant dictators.

I heard one news reporter call him a democratically elected president.

Well he was democratically elected due to Jimmuh Carter running interference while his thugs stuffed the ballot boxes across Venezuela.

I have been commenting since the day he was elected that someday he would be one of Americas worst enemies.

Pat Robinson had the right idea but John Kerry and his ilk thought they new better.

Yep it would hurt a lot of Americans.

However, shooting the stupid bastardo would be a better option.

Chavez is right...

The U.N. SHOULD move to a place like Venezuela.
The turd world "diplomats" would be more at home there than in New York, which is way above their pay grade and culture level...

Chavez can take over support of the U.N. -- with his oil money -- and the overall cost of running the U.N. would be severely cut by moving into the turd world..

MOVE THE U.N. and then quit...

I heard one news reporter call him a democratically elected president.

LOL! I did too and spilled coffee all over my desk!

Well he was democratically elected due to Jimmuh Carter running interference while his thugs stuffed the ballot boxes across Venezuela.

Exactly, he won by virtue of a coup.

Not really.

Whatever goes to China goes to China. It all comes out of the same world market. It doesn't matter much where any particular source goes.

Not that troublesome.

You don't buy bullets for your enemies just because you want to keep a domestic bullet manufacturer in business.

I am sympathetic to small businessmen who had nothing to do with the rigged election that put this clown into office but can they not find another distributor or go generic?

I would not do business with this guy.

Getting the UN out of the U.S. would free up a lot of need office space in NYC.

A private enterprise wouldn't buy that building. It will cost more to fix it than to rebuild. Further, there is not a shortage of office space in NYC. Many firms have left for NJ.
