Reader Scot Silverstein alerts us to the rally for Israel outside the United Nations earlier this week:
Some 35,000 people rallied across from the United Nations to protest Ahmadinejads presence at the world body. The crowd also wanted to show solidarity for Israel and implore the United Nations to enforce Security Council Resolution 1701, which ended Israels war this summer with Hezbollah and calls for the release of three Israeli soldiers taken hostage by Hamas and Hezbollah.
Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Presidents Conference, referred to Ahmadinejads Tuesday night speech to the General Assembly, in which he portrayed the creation of Israel as aggression against the Muslim world.
Hes constantly lied and misrepresented the truth, Hoenlein said, and he comes and lectures the rest of the world?
The rally drew dozens of speakers, including Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton, Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel, New York Gov. George Pataki and Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz.
My guess is you never read or heard about the rally. The story Scot Silverstein sent us [link] is from JTA, a Jewish news service. Scot writes:
A Google news search on "Israel rally UN" or similar terms only brings back a few hits, mostly from Jewish agencies.
This is stunning and deserves some attention. From an information science perspective it is as clear evidence of world news media collusion and bias as any.
One more note: God bless John Bolton.
They should have carried some anti-Bush signs. How else would the press notice 35,000 people in the streets?
WTF???? The MSM is making me more of an Jewish-Israel-phile, each and every day.....Maybe I'll convert.
"Some 35,000 people rallied across from the United Nations to protest Ahmadinejads presence at the world body."
The non-reporting of news is just as bad as the biased reporting. And there are still people in this country that don't get what goes on and use the MSM as their source of news and information. Wonder why Fox didn't report it?Unbelievable!
Compare this to the HUNDREDS who went to see Chavez yet his speech at the church is getting more ink.
Lies by omission.
The media reports what happens every day. They've reported on "some" of what has been going on around the UN this week...
Well don't expect FoxNews to cover it, since they are now 18%-owned by a Saudi Prince.
because one of FOX's owners is a Saudi Prince....18% worth to be exact
