Several weeks ago, a Marine took down some dude who cold-cocked a women outside a convenience store in SLC. A true hero the marine. How about letting this Marine have a couple of minutes with this pervert? I'm all for that, even a minute would do just fine.

I'm sure the list of states and victims will grow longer. I was just listing what we knew, for sure, right now. At least it's nice to have this guy somewhere he can't get to children.

In theory, yes.
One of the reasons this type of thought crime should make everyone nervous, although in "practice", it leaves a wide latitude to the prosecutors. A latitude subject to instant abuse on a whim.

With all the other crimes he is known to have committed, it is puzzling and frustrating to see him jailed for the most ambiguous and intangible one. It boggles the mind that some actual sexual abusers get less time.

I would be nice if there were some kind of proportionality, uniformity and consistency in punishing this type of crime.
