That Constitution guarantees all America citizens the right to vote and the right for their vote to be counted.

When did this happen? I would have started voting when I was 6 had I known that.

A poll tax? How can anyone function in our society without I.D.? I don't really think that's too much to expect of anyone. Indeed, expecting this of them will give them greater functionality in society. You can't drive a car, get on a plane, use a credit card or cash a check without one. If someone is that ill-functioning that they never do any of those things, then they probably don't vote anyway.

In most states I think you can get a lousy I.D. through the motor vehicles dept. for around $20. If someone can't afford that, then they just need to give up on life frankly.

That's right, tightface, it will deny millions of votes to illegals and the dead who shouldn't be voting at all.

Not to mention, by their standard that having certain requirements to vote is tantamount to taking away someone's right to vote, then I guess we had better not force anyone to register in order to be allowed to vote either. I'm sure the Dems. would love that one, but again to pretend there are currently no conditions that a person must meet in order to be eligible to vote, i.e filling out a form and verifying you are of age, a citizen with a SS # and not a convicted felon, etc. is patently dishonest. Just like registering, you have the right to vote by filling out that form and sending it in, now they will have to merely obtain an I.D. But it's not just automatically granted just because you're a "citizen."

I'm guessing the number of voters with no picture I.D. as you say is about as miniscule a number as those who'd have no Social Security #, and thus not be allowed to register to vote. Are Dems. going to claim that requirement disenfranchises them as well?

So Democrats are afraid of voters having to prove who they are and when and where they vote? IOWs voter fraud is a right?

I have the feeling Algore's vote count from 2000 is still shrinking as we speak.

How in the hell does having to present an I.D. cause disenfranchisement.

Amazing leap of logic isn't it?

Last time I voted in Texas I had to show:
Voter Registration
Picture Drivers License
And had to sign the book and strangely enough the Republican judge at my polling place is one of my neighbors. And I still had to do all that.
And I thought this was just common sense.

It is mandated that one has to have ID to buy a gun. It is mandated that one may be required to show ID to buy cigarettes or alcohol. It is mandated that one has to show ID to get on an airplane, to drive a car, to get a social security card.

In Wisconsin our Dim Governor and stoopid State Legislature have mandated that we show photo I.D. when buying a stinking package of OTC cold medicine! There is now an online database that tracks purchases. Yet the same people scream like babies every time the subject of voter I.D. comes up (and heaven forbid if we could actually get a correct database of registered voters!)

Look South - Americans could learn from Mexican elections.

And it’s not just Mexico. Many countries require some type of voter ID. Examples include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, the United Kingdom, India, Pakistan and South Africa.

If those countries require voter ID, it's absurd that we can't. It's begging for voter fraud.

Of course Ms. Botox doesn't want voter I.D.

Every illegal vote they can slide through the system

without being caught, cancels out a Republican vote.

The left wouldn't win a thing if they had to rely on

honesty.

an ID card is truly a necessity at this point.

Show me a person who cannot prove who he is and I will show you someone who is poor and who will remain poor. The exclusion may be a successful drug dealer or mafia type. :)

Remember boys & girls - asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before buying a gun is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for photo ID before buying a beer is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before starting a new job so you can pay your taxes is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before getting a driver's license is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before being admitted into the hospital is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before buying a home is good...

asking for photo ID before you vote is bad, asking for multiple forms of photo ID and other paper work before being approved for insurance is good...

I'm glad the Democrats are smarter than we are, otherwise we'd be in trouble.

Welfare checks are a thing of the past. Like food stamps. Welfare bums are now issued a government debit card. The user chooses a 4 digit pin number. Go figure!

I don't know if they have a Welfare card. They should have some type of ID. Also I think all Welfare bums should be drug tested. I have to take a drug test to work to pay their way through life.
