I've posted this before but I think it can't be stated more clearly than ole Winnie did ....

Winston Churchill On Islam
A quote from an 1899 book by Winston Churchill, "The River War", in which he describes Muslims he apparently observed during Kitchener's campaign in the Sudan

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. The effects are apparent in many countries. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

Wow! Did Sir Winston have a handle on this problem well ahead of his time. No wonder I count him among my heroes.

Last night I watched an old movie called "The Nun's Story," and I thought to myself what a stark contrast between islam and Christianity. The nuns in the story embraced love and sacrifice for the good of all others. While in the Belgium Congo one of the nuns is brutally murdered by a native. The other natives are amazed that they were not all punished for the crime. Sister Luke (the main character), told them that "anger and revenge is not our way, forgiveness is."

Religion should enhance one's life not stifle it. Islam is evil.

Here's a really good one from the 14th Century:

“Show me just what Muhammad brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread the sword by the faith he preached,”

---14th-century Byzantine emperor, Manuel II Paleologus(Rock On Infidel!).

I chant this everyday along with the Pledge of Allegiance. It's as refreshing as the day the Pope quoted it.
