<sarcasm>Get with it. You are so behind the times. Big deal that a few girls in Manitoba will get such a book in school.</sarcasm> The American Library Assocation is way ahead of them. The ALA has such books and worse in public libraries and public schools nationwide in the USA. And few do much about it because they simply are not aware. And when they do try to do something about it, they are castigated and belittled by the ALA. Like a book about a father who rapes his daughter making her pregnant, then rapes his daughter and his granddaugher by his own daughter at the same time with the granddaughter still in Pampers. And when the mommy finds out, she makes the daughter, uh, perform cunnilingus, shall we say. That's an ALA recommended book for all ages. <sarcasm>So get with it,</sarcasm> or as the ALA would say, if you don't like it, "avert your eyes, sweety."

They already brought the little black book for male homosexuals and those interested in becoming one, to a town in MA. It caused a huge law suit and publicity nation wide. This must be the dike version.

As to the title of some of the articles.........“My First Time F***ing a Girl”

Uhhhhhhhhh duh that is biologically and physically IMPOSSIBLE!!

Ask all you like . I dont bash Catholics unless they are wrong, Read the article and my post 41. If the School Sisters of Notre Dame do not disavow themselves of this St. Stephens outfit they deserve criticism.

Any criticism I give of the Catholic Church is an effort to inform them when they are wrong. I also praise them when they are right.

Such as it is when sex ed. goes from teaching REPRODUCTION, disease, and birth control to teaching positions and fetishes.

Not necessarily true. Do heterosexual women (or men) abstain from oral sex? Not necessarily.

But the School Sisters of Notre Dame arent??

Unfortunately, they are. But they're notoriously liberal and wacko ... and that's here, in the States. I'm sure in Canada they're even further out in la-la land.

I have been around the block a few times and I have NO IDEA what a dental dam is

It's the equivalent of a surgical drape for oral surgery, particularly root canals, used to maintain a sterile field in the operating area. A thin piece of rubber; imagine a rectangular piece cut from a child's balloon, but slightly tougher.

If you're ever at the dentist and hear those dreaded words, "You need a root canal", you'll find out for yourself. (Actually, I was surprised at how painless mine was, until I got the bill. ;-))

I agree, it's gross, beyond toleration.

This is as close to a position paper or manifesto as I have written- FYI, and FWIW:

...why 1.51% of the population...

Excerpt from The Little Black Book...

The nurse could see my stress. She asked my sperm-carrying boyfriend to leave us alone for a bit. Then she explained a lot of stuff. We went over the pregnancy-and-having-a-child option, reviewed the costs involved, the places I could live and where I could go to school.

Then she explained abortions. She told me it wasn't a baby, but an embryo, and that at this point it was just a mass of tissues. She explained the procedure and how I would feel, and then she started to talk about "choice" and that it is important that I have the "choice." I was learning that "options" and "choice" were two words these people liked a whole lot.

I went away to think again for a day or two. My boyfriend wasn't a lot of help. He didn't want to sway me one way or the other, but he also didn't really want to be involved.

I thought and thought. In the end, I had an abortion. It changed my life forever. I realize now, two years later, it was the right decision, but it still sucks. I will always wonder what would my child be like? Would it be a boy or a girl? Would it have my brown, curly hair or his red, straight hair?

The thing was, we broke up a few weeks later. We would never have lasted as a couple. I was happy in a way, because it supported my decision. I also made the basketball team last year, and that would not have happened if I were a mom.

Made sense

I don't know. It's the hardest decision, and I had to make it at 14. Maybe I should have spent more time thinking about the sex that got me to that point. I guess I fucked up, but at least I had a choice (there's that word again) about what to do.
If I did it all again, what would I do? I don't know. I never agreed with abortion before, nor does my family, but in the end it made sense.

I wish it were easier, so I could give other girls advice, but it's not. It's a really personal, intense thing, and like I said earlier, having options, having the ability to choose what is right for you, is key, and that goes for all sorts of areas in my life. I guess in the end I learned a lot from this really shitty situation.

Her baby's options and choices were sacrificed but hey she made the basketball team.
I see no mention of adoption as an 'option'.

Hmmm? Considering I have no idea what you think of it either way, I don't believe I commented on your opinion. As a matter of fact, I addressed your misconception that lesbians don't like penetration.

It is my understanding that lesbians enjoy the same sexual activities as hetero women (they have the same type of equipment yanno?), they just disagree on who they do it with. Same thing goes for most men. Oral sex and anal stimulation is fine so long as a woman is doing it. LOL

Sexually active at 14. I noticed that the fact that she was only 14 and incapable of financially supporting a moral decision, she should not be having sex at all isn't an option either. Abstinence anyone?

This book will be a major hit among high school boys. The girls can use this book to negotiate more expensive dates (fancier restaurants, for example).
