(Tucson, AZ) Randy Graf, the Republican nominee to replace retiring US Congressman Jim Kolbe, was pleased to announce that the national Republican Party and its leaders have come together to support his campaign. After winning the Republican Primary for the Eighth Congressional District of Arizona on September 12, 2006, Randy flew out to Washington, D.C. the following day to meet with national party leaders who have pledged their support and promised to help Randys campaign collect the needed resources in order to win the general election on November 7, 2006.
Among those who Randy met with and who promised help were Republican Party leaders in the US House of Representatives and Ken Mehlman, Chairman of the Republican National Committee. House leaders who pledged their support in meetings with Randy Graf include Speaker of the House J. Dennis Hastert of Illinois, Majority Whip Roy Blunt of Missouri, Chief Deputy Majority Whip Eric Cantor of Virginia, Deputy Majority Whip Tom Feeney of Florida, Republican Study Committee Chairman Mike Pence of Indiana, and NRCC Chairman Thomas M. Reynolds of New York. Each of these national party and Congressional leaders offered their support and many gave financial contributions to the Randy Graf for Congress campaign. Along with the support of national Republican leaders, Randy has received the support and endorsements of Senator Jon Kyl, and Congressmen Jeff Flake, Trent Franks, J.D. Hayworth, Rick Renzi, and John Shadegg of Arizona.
Randy Graf is excited for the opportunity to join these fine Americans in serving in the U.S. House of Representatives and is planning on fighting hard to ensure victory in November. Randy acknowledges that this will be a tough election but is confident that he has the message that will resonate with voters in order to win in November. Randy Graf stated that: If we continue to focus on the issues that helped us win the Primary, we will be able to relate to the voters and their stances on the most important issues for the district. These issues include controlling government spending, lowering taxes on families, winning the War against Terrorists, and securing our borders against terrorists, criminals, and illegal aliens. Once we relate to the voters on these important issues, we will win in November. There should be no question in the minds of voters that when it comes to stopping illegal immigration, Randy is the only choice. Randys strong showing in the Republican primary along with the built-in 20,000 vote registration advantage for Republicans in the District are two reasons Randy believes he is already well on the right track to win in November.
Graf has also stated that he is confident that he will be able to raise the necessary $1 million plus between now and November 7 in order to carry his message to the voters and win the General Election.

somehow my ping switched your name to sandrad instead of sandrat. weird.
Good to hear the D.C. NSRCC have seen the light. Now if they will also support Len Munsil for Governor of Arizona, maybe we can replace Janet Napolireno this fall.

How much money did they give him?
Good question. I think as atonement, they should pony up at least a quarter of a million, pronto.
What about all the purists who said they no longer contribute to the organiztion, only to the individual candidates. How much are they gonna kick in?
They should pony too.
Course, many have, otherwise Graf wouldn't have won the primary.
How much did Tancredo give Graf? Far less than the democrats gave Graf.
Everyone likes to talk about the natl republican organization money that went to Huffman but no one wants to talk about how much money the dems spent to defeat Huffman and elect Graf.
The only ones "on our side" who would want to talk about that at this point would be those are such childish sore losers that they want to hurt Graf's chances of winning the General Election.
But hey, no one would want to do that. After all, we're all conservatives here.
Check the FEC records. The Democrats didn't give a cent to Graf.
LOL! Good one.
The Tancredo Trashers hate Graf because Tancredo supports him. These people are not conservatives, they are not here to promote conservatives or conservative causes. They are trolls here to trash Tancredo and anyone and anything associated with him. Their continued existence here, attacking conservatives with impunity, serves counter to Free Republic's stated goals.
"Ken Mehlman, Chairman of the Republican National Committee"
. . . who probably had to use a padded tongue depressor when he heard Graf had won.
One can only wonder why the RNC and other GOP leadership goes into seizures whenever a conservative gains any ground.
The dems prefer to run against Graf.
In one of Spiff's threads there was some pre-primary polling data. Looking at that data, it didn't appear that Huffman would be able to beat the dem either.
Yeah. Laziness is a common mark of a liberal.
How much did Tancredo give Graf?
Why do you care? Why aren't you happy when our candidates get funds from any legitimate source? Or perhaps you think conservative Congressman Tom Tancredo, a guy with a 100% rating on every scale imaginable, isn't a "legitimate source"?
Far less than the democrats gave Graf.
Blatant, malicious lying is so unbecoming.
Everyone likes to talk about the natl republican organization money that went to Huffman...
Yeah, because from a conservative's perspective, it really sucked. In fact, most Republicans I know considered it a gross betrayal.
...but no one wants to talk about how much money the dems spent to defeat Huffman and elect Graf.
Yeah, because, unlike you, most folks here are conservatives.
As for me, if the Dems want to spend their precious campaign cash to elect conservatives all across the land, that's okay by me.
Randy Graf is a superior candidate in every way.
I can't help it if they're stupid.
Then why do you care?
