We're seeing the huge readjustment on oil that was discussed last year. Welcome to the petroleum version of the tech bubble. Oil prices will probably be in the lower $50's per barrel next month.
OK Presser over, here now.
Now it's time to go for the throat and totally stomp on the Democrats in November and pick up GOP seats in the House and Senate, marginalizing the RINOs and making them less important with bigger REAL conservative numbers in both Houses. This could be a very effective next two years legislatively in 2007 and 2008 with a bigger House and Senate majority.

If it drops too far Texas, forget any new domestic drilling. Our oil is too expensive to extract at $40 a barrel. You'll see domestic producers going out of business.

Don't you love it when a plan comes together? :) Now if the Elite Commandos find Bin Laden or Al Zarwhiri, or if Stevens or Ginsburg retire or "expire" (not wishing for death though), and Bush puts up a strict constructionist like Michael Luddig, Edith Jones, Precilla Owens, Bill Pryor or Corrigan (I forget first name) and announces their nomination around October 20th, the Democrats will have such a meltdown, either of those things happening, they'll be such a small minority, the RINOs will be so marginalized in the GOP Majority, they won't have the level of importance they've abused the past few years. It's only a matter of time and both of those things will happen. Now would be nice. :)

If it stays in the $50's that would be good. Especially a few years from now if the market is flooded with oil from ANWR and the Gulf. Then it's still worth it for the American companies, and we're not having to buy from Muslim countries that hate our guts. And it all helps the economy. The people who think the economy is bad because gas is "WAS" high, well, they'll either think the economy is finally great not, or they'll out themselves as liberals who simply thing the economy is bad because a Democrat isn't residing in the White House. That is true of 99.995% of those who still aren't sure if the economy is good. 4.WHATEVER% unemployment, record earnines from the CBO thanks to tax cuts, still healthy new home sales, 2.9% or better GDP, still reasonable interest rates, booming stock market, booming gold prices, which isn't supposed to happen, so the economy must be REALLY good, the deficit cut by half two years early DURING a war that costs $80+ billion a month??? Only a VERY strong growing booming economy could do that.
