There's only a certain amount of that kind of sheer arrogant BS that ANYONE should have to take before they get their back up.

I teach over at a neighborhood JuCo, and there's a few of those A&S types who I've taken to avoiding because I'm about to get 'em by the throat and beat their head against a wall the next time I hear them spout one of their d*** bumperstickers at me. (Especially the chinless wonder who fancies himself as expert on the subject of VN because he was in school--at Berkeley, he claims--in the LATE 70's.)

Because under the Fairness doctrine any opinion has to be balance by equal time. So to avoid undless controversies about it Radio Station chains simply avoiding anything controversial that might get them in regulatory trouble.

Yes, you are right. I lived in Northern California for 20 years before moving back to New York - so I know what you mean. I also had the pleasure of seeing the dessert sky in Arizona at night.
