The President's speech was indeed one of his best in my opinion.

I agree. He hit every single point with clarity and emphasis. The fact that the Dems are whining this morning only proves how good his speech really was.

Yes, and it was more than appropriate for him to make his positions on the War,in particular in Iraq.

And of course Democrats would never stoop so low to politicize a natural disaster like Hurricane Katrina.

Why are they complaining? I mean if he engineered it, according to the moonbats, then he should at least reap the benefits.

It wasn't a political speech at all - unless the Democrats have become a party of retreat, defeat and appeasement, opposed to fighting the war on terror.

Well, let's dig up FDR's 1944 campaign speeches and see if he politicized Pearl Harbor, shall we?

I thought it was a great speech. I was surprised when the first comment Charles Krauthammer had during Brit Hume's post-speech discussion was that it was "political." I think Krauthammer is a Democrat, just strong on national security and certain other issues.

Why won't Bush bring up Salman Pak in his speeches? This training facility in Iraq was clearly used to train terrorists in suicide attacks, kidnappings, and bus, train and airplane hijackings. This interview from the liberal's beloved PBS clearly shows that muslims other than Iraqis were being trained in terrorism at Salman Pak.

And of course, Bill Clinton never politicized Columbine or Oklahoma City.

I just love it when politicians accuse other politicians of playing politics. Don't they know how stupid that sounds?

Apparently not.

"politics," as the dictionary entry:

Etymology: Greek politika, from neuter plural of politikos political

1 a : the art or science of government b : the art or science concerned with guiding or influencing governmental policy c : the art or science concerned with winning and holding control over a government
2 : political actions, practices, or policies
3 a : political affairs or business; especially : competition between competing interest groups or individuals for power and leadership (as in a government) b : political life especially as a principal activity or profession c : political activities characterized by artful and often dishonest practices
4 : the political opinions or sympathies of a person
5 a : the total complex of relations between people living in society b : relations or conduct in a particular area of experience especially as seen or dealt with from a political point of view [office politics] [ethnic politics]
