I don't care if there is scientific proof that tobacco smoke is as healthy as mother's milk. It irritates my lungs, nose and eyes. It is very unpleasant and disgusting for most non-smokers. For a smoker to inflict it on us unwillingly is unspeakably rude, and really little short of assault and battery. I will always be in favor of smoking bans in most public places.
