ABC has no broadcast license to threaten. No network requires a license. Only individual TV stations require licenses.

You overlook their ten owned & operated stations, listed here.

For most networks, the O&O's are major profit producers.

As a matter of fact, recall that it was a station operator -- Capital Cities Broadcasting -- that bought ABC, not the other way around.

Old, I think they played the wrong chess piece for this game. They have TOLD them to change the film or don't show it.

What self respecting news network would buckle to that type of intimidation? The Dem may have all but forced their hand to show this film now.

If I were the Washington Post editors, this would give give me the creeps.

I sure don't see the Compost, or any other DBM outlet for that matter, standing up and defending ABC though. Howie Kurtz did a column on this today, before that letter came out, and he didn't have any problem with the Dims howling and screaming. I'll bet he hasn't changed his mind, either.

The 90's were really a dream, weren't they? Like everything was happening behind the scenes...and we were unaware of anything but BJ, Monica and the Blue Dress. They had the White House and the media...and yet all the while..so much was happening. Not only was BJ distracted- the whole country was distracted by it..while the clouds gathered out of view.

And now..they are willing to go to these lengths over a docu-drama??
