Clinton was preoccupied with the Lewinsky Scandal to do his job. If he had been paying attention it would have been a different issue. As much as I dispise the Arkansas Carpet Baggers, I believe that the DOD was looking for a new Bogey Man to justify high dollar weapons system and big contracts.
That China was the new and emerging threat and still is. That we were more focused there than on Al-Queda. In our arrogance we doubted they could attack the American Homeland. It was a Modern Pearl Harbor all over again.
Sadly most Liberals and some Conservatives ignore the reality of the Islamic Fascism that is sweeping the Globe.
Worse yet Professor Muhammed Khan has shared plans, infrastructure and technology to proliferate nuclear weapons with the Moslem world.
