The movie then cuts to a close-up of Clinton maintaining that he did "not have sex with that woman Monica Lewinsky insinuating that the Lewinsky scandal was distracting him from the bin Laden threat. If it makes BJ feel any better, I for one don't think that Lewinsky distracted him from the terror threat at all, because I don't see where he was ever interested in doing anything about terrorism in the first place (as evidenced by the fact that he did nothing about the Cole bombing which happened long after Lewinsky).
I think the only thing that the Lewinsky matter possibly "distracted" BJ from was finding more skanks to have sex with.

I agree. In fact, one of the biggest ironies from the Clinton administration is that in their attempts to secure a legacy of Mideast peace, they only made things worse. From the moment Clinton stepped foot in office, he was willing to do anything to secure this legacy...including ignoring the growing terrorists threat.
From the first WTC attack to the Khobar Towers to the two US Embassies and the USS Cole...Clinton refused to aggressively pursue these Islamofacists for fear it would impede his plans. The Clinton administration was so invested in this "legacy" that they even helped get Barak elected in Israel to help implement them.
The simple fact is Clinton refused to be tough on terrorists and terrorism because that would've meant attacking the very people he needed in support of his peace plan. What's so ironic is that even through all the diplomacy, appeasement and concessions (all those things liberals demand) Muslims continued to not only attack American interests...they were obviously planning their boldest plan ever, 9/11.
